Oh So Wrong But Oh So Right

It’s Kylie’s year to put herself first, which is why Ty Connor is exactly wrong for her. But chatting with BeastMode seems to be clicking… I loved returning to Hamilton and the Highliners. Kylie and Ty have such incredible chemistry that absolutely crackles, and Stella Hunter and Robert Hackett did a terrific job of lighting this story up. Ty is FILTHY! and Roberts does such a phenomenal job of making Ty’s dialogue meltingly hot when it could have gone into the cringe zone. Loved it, just loved it.

Depth and Perception

The Scoring Secret is a beautifully crafted love story with well-developed characters and plenty of sass and steam. Pro hockey player Ty is unapologetic about his playboy ways, and he owns who he is. But, we also learn that he has a softer side and a past that motivated him to become the best at what he does. Kiley is a complicated woman with plenty of baggage, but she is determined to live her best life and move forward. Brilliant, funny, sassy, and extremely social, she puts herself out there both online and in real life. I adore the plot of this novel, and how these two get to truly know each other through their online connection—allowing them to develop a bond that they otherwise wouldn’t have if they had known who the other actually was. Their real life interactions are filled with fun banter, but Kiley is too stuck on her past perceptions to see who Ty really is. He falls first and so hard, and I adore how he is willing to do anything to help Kiley get past her own hangups on her own timeline. The duet performance is super spicy and on point—both of the narrators have easy to listen to voices and deliver hardcore emotion and smexy times equally on par with the action and the outside drama. I loved this one! Such a fun listen!!!

enemies to lovers

This is book 2 of Off the Ice. A hockey romance with a player who has met his match. I loved that when they swipe right on each other strangers who fall first but in real life, she cannot stand him. It is an enemy to lover's romance that will have you laughing and cheering for their happy ever after ending.

Kiley and Ty

It was such a cute story and Kiley is really a relatable character. Ty may be a playboy but he really steps up to be a good guy. It is also helps to hear this audiobook as a duet. There's a lot of characters and it helps to differentiate them. It was a fun story!.

Good Online and Offline Romance

A fun, spicy hockey romance with great chemistry and a slow-burn build that kept things entertaining. The mix of anonymous online flirting and real-life tension with the hockey player downstairs gave it strong “You’ve Got Mail” vibes with a modern twist.

This would have been five stars for me, but the third-act breakup felt unnecessary and a little awkwardly handled. I enjoyed the female narration, but Robert Hatchet was the standout for me and did an even better job.
