The characters, while they were mostly sketches due to how numerous they were, were complex enough and avoided stereotype

Delightful!

This has been a very clever murder mystery about seven girls at a finishing school who see both adults who run the school die and don't want to go home to their unappreciative families so they try covering it up. Their secrecy can't stay secret with all the adult ambition, but the girls are remarkably resourceful and clever on the trail of the murderer while fooling everyone. It's a fun jaunt with each character given a different way of speaking.

A fun story that kept us on the edge of our seats!

I enjoyed this book very much with my 13,12, and 11 year olds. Great fun story with good suspense.

Great read, clever, amusing story

This is a wonderful Victorian romp, complete with delightful characters, clever plot twists and charming language, well read by the equally wonderful Jayne Entwistle.
