it might be a good story but

after EVERY CHAPTER, there announce the title of the book, the chapter number and the play a bit of music. Destroys the flow of the book.

Could not listen

I just could not get into this narrator. He sounded like he was 101 years old. Nothing exciting or sexy. I will attempt to read the stories, but listening was an absolute no go.

Narration

I loved the story but had to stop listening. The narrators should have been reading children's books. The overly dramatic lady and the uber laid back gentleman took too much away from the story line. Just couldn't do it.

Voice actors were SO very wrong

The narraters ruined any chance of enjoying the story. There were horrible music intos to every chapter. The male voice would be good in a holiday story read by an old man and the female was either robotic or whiny.

The narrators?

So I love the story line but the narrators dulled the intense of the story. I love the male narrator even though he did sounds like a grandfather rather then a 21+ yr old. The female narrator, Annabelle was overly dramatic in all the wrong moments. The intimate scenes felt more like she was in agony rather then pleasurable,
I would have read the second book set if the female narrator was different.

Disappointed in Narrators

I loved reading the original Sacred Hearts MC books. In fact, I've read them repeatedly, along with A.J. Downey's other series. However, in my opinion, neither of narrators' voices fit the main characters' voices. The male narrator's voice fit, in my opinion, one of the older secondary characters, but not the main characters' voices, which I've always imagined were gruff, rough, or something like that. Instead, every time the male narrator spoke, I kept picturing in my head someone who was much older than the ages of most the male leads within the Sacred Hearts MC universe. The female narrator didn't really differentiate the voices of the characters. I have listened to multiple female narrators who were fantastic at differentiating male and female voices. This one just is not good at that. And she was mono toned, like it was obvious she had a script in front of her, and it came across as she received the script and read it without looking through it at all. Because of these issues, the narrators kept me outside of the stories I love instead of being taken into the stories as I'm used to happening both from physical books and audio. That was very (and still is) disappointing.

Voices just don’t match the character

The stories aren’t bad just the voices and dialogue don’t match the characters. I couldn’t even
finish the audio version and gave up switching to the kindle version instead. Hoping I can get my credit back. This is the first time I’ve been this let down by an audible choice.

Loved the Story, the F Narration was challenging

I love these stories so much that even though I have Audible Escape, I purchased the set. The male narrators voice sounded a bit older than what I was expecting but if you get past the sound, his narration was wonderful. He did a great job with the inflections and differentiating the characters. The female narrator was the opposite, her voice sounds very nice but her inflections were awful. Her only means of expressing emotion was to raise her voice. She had two modes, reading the lines or pure panic. No other emotional inflection. I would rate Jackson Hunter as wonderful as he is a very good narrator, just the sound of his voice didn't fit the character which is not his fault. The female narrator I would rate as 1 star - no talent, just a nice voice.

Wrong narrators

The male narrator sounded much older than the character. He’d have been great for the character Dragon or Doc, but the others were men in their 20s and 30s, and his voice sounds too old for them. Don’t misunderstand - he’s a great narrator, showed good emotion and character changes, but he’d have shined in another story. The female narrator was obviously new or untrained - her voice was fine, but emotions were way out of the norm, yelling and sounded whiny instead of scared or sad. I am a big fan of this author, love this series, and was so looking forward to listening to it, but I haven’t be able to get through more than a few chapters before giving up in frustration. A.J. If you’re reading, I’d love to see the Voodoo series and would buy them as soon as they come out in audible, but please find the right voices.

Great story

They story was great. However, the music was annoying and the man’s voice was so old sounding for men that is supposed to young. Not a great sound!

Narrative not so good!!

Good storyline. but the narration was very difficult to listen to and the music and over long purse between each chapter was very off putting.
