Story
Taking place nearly a century before the events of A Game of Thrones, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms compiles the first three official prequel novellas to George R. R. Martin's ongoing masterwork, A Song of Ice and Fire. Before Tyrion Lannister and Podrick Payne, there were Dunk and Egg. A young, naïve, but ultimately courageous hedge knight, Ser Duncan the Tall towers above his rivals - in stature if not experience. Tagging along is his diminutive squire, a boy called Egg - whose true name (hidden from all he and Dunk encounter) is Aegon Targaryen.

A Teenage Girl's Review
Loved it! The story was easy to follow and that romance? Holy crap, that was at least unexpected to the likes of me ( though I did pick up on the hints in disbelief ). I'd continue this series if George read the other books because I very much enjoyed listening to his sweet voice reading this amazing book to me. He's wonderful at this and his beautiful voice really brought the book to life, for me. And Magnus is a very interesting person; kinda materialistic, but sassy and flirtatious. Beautiful work from all those involved! Thank you for this great experience.

What could Cassandra Clare and Maureen Johnson have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Put all the Chronicles (short stories) in one book and added a little more detail.
Which character – as performed by George Blagden – was your favorite?

Magnus is the Sarah Jessica Parker of magic .. :(

Loved the Mortal Instruments. This was as painful to get through as when my wife had me watch Sex and the City with her. I will not be finishing this series.
Would you ever listen to anything by Cassandra Clare and Maureen Johnson again?
Yes I will, if it is more similar to the Mortal Instruments.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Better, more what I expected
Again first note, this is a small sub story at just over an hour. However this was better then the 1st one, more focused, more flushed out and detailed. The story focuses around the Queen of France and Magus with various acquaintances. The Voice is closer to what I imagine Magus to be though still not perfect. If you are interested in a random story of Magus, I would suggest it though so far I do not see any tie to this story and the other main story lines it is simply a random side story, but someone what amusing.

Very funny
Would you listen to The Runaway Queen again? Why?
Yes, because the book has good funny moments.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Magnus is the best character. On this short story we figured out some pieces on his relationships with Camille. I think this series give us elements to understand some chooses made by Magnus on the others books of Cassandra Clare.
Have you listened to any of George Blagden’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, this was the first time, and I liked a lot.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No.
