Publisher's summary

Alastair has found the perfect partner in husband Steven. Together they've built a successful life, had a beautiful child, and still behave like newlyweds long since the day he carried her over the threshold.

But all of that changes in an instant thanks to a thoughtless deed that has lifelong repercussions.

With secrets bubbling to the surface, the pair find their American dream life suddenly in jeopardy, and neither one of them are willing to let go at any cost.

Is there any psychological suspense underneath all of that porn?

This might have been an interesting story but I’ll never know. I could not even get past the first few chapters. I should have given up sooner and Iwish I could un-hear it!
I only listened as far as I did because the storyline in the description sounded interesting. It’s as if the publisher took a great story and ruined it by asking the author to drown it in pornographic sex.

Shout out to the female narrator, Piper Goodeve. I gave her 5 stars. The story got one star.

Bad writing, worse editing

This is a poorly written book and, seemingly, it was not subjected to any editing. The plot is far-fetched. The "action" scenes are incomprehensible. And it appears that someone used a thesaurus app to choose imprecise verbs every few paragraphs. Very disappointing!

Twisted Minds

When one woman gets the idea that another woman is partially responsible for destroying her life, this book is a how to guide of extreme revenge.

A man at a bar, a pretty woman and one too many drinks lead to one single backseat Fu**. A mistake that cost a man his wife, daughter, their comfortable lifestyle and almost his life.

But it was all intentionally set in motion for revenge by a woman who is psychologically unstable. She blamed someone loosely associated with the death of her child, and she was going to make sure everyone suffered.

And she almost got away with it all. Almost.

It was ok..

The book it’s self was a good book but the readers weren’t very believable her/his voice was monotoned the whole book and I didn’t like how she over detailed and read the text messages being sent back and forth.

The Female Protagonist Couldn’t Be That Stupid

I really wanted to love this book and while it was entertaining, I found Ally (the main character) to be insanely dumb which really annoyed me. She was apparently smart with this brilliant career yet she was so gullible. Anyone that has ever been cheated on goes on high alert and suspects every female around their husband. Ally however was clueless about her receptionist, even when she stole her daughters picture and spied on her while she got it on with her husband. Then she comments every time her secretary looked upset when she mentioned spending time with her husband. I knew it was the receptionist from the very beginning so no mystery there. I also hated that as the evidence built she never confronted her husband with it. That was very unrealistic.

I enjoyed the narrators though, especially the husband played by Sean Crisden. I just don’t like unrealistic plots and things not adding up. Like when Ally was in jail, and within that week she sold her business which merged with another. Really?? How did she manage all that from behind bars?

Your audience is smarter than this Marin Montgomery.

Keep Listening

I started this book then quit after a couple of chapters due to the infuriating conclusion being at the beginning. I was so wrong to stop. The twist keep coming. The suspense ever rising. Must listen!!!!
