You'll Want To Check Out This Hotel

You know things are gonna be tough when you work at a hotel named Roche. Newly single Jane Seymour begins her new job as the night shift clerk, not a glamorous job to say the least, but it pays the bills.

Jane finds herself working with the oddest bunch of coworkers ever, Jerry’s a jack of all trades who resembles a sasquatch and fellow clerk Aquanetta who’s never heard the words “personal space”. Her shift gets even more interesting when a local baker and resident hot guy Henry, drops off his daily batch donuts. Jane tries not to lose her head… Kinda like her Tudor predecessor. A misadventure in room 12 means an upswing in business and hilarity ensues.

The Roche Hotel Season One is filled with humor, mystery, romance and a twinge of heartbreak. It’s amazing you can fit all that into an hour and nineteen minutes! Angie Hickman narrates and does a wonderful job in the fast-paced production.

I’m looking forward to Season Two. This audiobook was received in exchange for an unbiased review!

The former owner's wife.

Not really

Any additional comments?

This was a funny story that made me smile the entire I was listening to it. I got this book via audiobook boom.

A slice of the life of a hotel clerk

Short, funny, and leaves you wanting the next one. The characters are believable and clearly depicted. The story flows well, but is divided into "episodes" rather than chapters, which I personally found odd. Overall it was fun and worth reading.
AH is a skilled audio performer who is able to bring the characters to life and keep them well differentiated in voice.

From Bigfoot to Donuts

My sister worked her way through college as a night clerk at a motel and used to tell me some very funny stories; these easily top them. Set up like a series of half hour TV sitcom skits (without the 20 minutes of commercials sprinkled through), each episode is delightful, building on but not generally dependent on the previous one. I started out reading and then switched to AUDIO and was delighted with the clear, well-nuanced narration. Short and sweet, ideal for quick bites.

Sweet, funny story

I enjoyed these episodes of the goings on at the Roche hotel and the developing romance between Jane and Henry. The stories are warm, funny, and a little sexy. I loved the ongoing attempt by the elderly prior owner to "cover" the statue's nasty bits. This is the beginning of a series, so you don't get the end of the story in this book, and it definitely left me wanting to listen to season 2.

The audiobook delivery was perfectly paced and well-voiced. Very enjoyable, and short enough to listen to in a single sitting.

Sweet Fun

I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet, romantic comedy, my only complaint is that it is way too short.

Mysti Parker writes very well and Angie Hickman does a great job narrating the story.

The characters are fun and well developed; the conversation is snappy and believable, there is nothing missing from this story - romance, a little mystery and humor, it all leaves you with the desire to hear more.

A short sweet romance.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this book to people who love sweet romance! It's about a 30 year old female who is divorced and learning to trust men again. I think because it is short story there are no misunderstanding. It is more to do with mistrust on her side after how her ex husband treated her. The author leaves it hanging at the end. So you wonder do they have a happy ever after or is there trouble brewing up in the horizon. Can't wait to find out what happens next.
