Publisher's summary

The dying breath. The dying will. The dying hope.

After the catastrophe of the Call of Agon, Ifferon and his companions find themselves in the unenviable situation of witnessing, and partaking in, the death of another god - this time, Corrias, ruler of the Overworld.

With Corrias locked inside the corpse of a boy named Théos, he suffers a fate worse than the bonds of the Beast Agon. Yet, hope is rekindled when the company find a way to restore the boy, and possibly the god, back to life.

The road to rebirth has many pitfalls, and there are some who consider such meddling with the afterlife a grave risk. The prize might be life anew - but the price might also be a second death.

Don't miss the second installment of the Children of Telm series, which will push our heroes to the brink.

finally an author who can write fantasy

so many fantasy authors plague their art with perverse gluttonous amounts of sex scenes or use such a heavy hand when applying tragedies to it. i have been listening to game of thrones series and I was enchanted by such an interesting world and it's dynamics but so disappointed at it's relentless gloom and tragedies that I just could listen no more. and there are other fantasy novels I've had similar experience with. but this isn't one! the flow of this book is perfect leading into each point without delay or filler. there is tragedies but always a light at the end of the tunnel, a brave soul to stand defiantly against the darkness!!
a long, difficult, and weighty quest fulfilled! when delan got to hold theos again after he had been brought back to life?! that is what other fantasy authors cannot do! give life, meaning, and resolution! they cannot give light to their novels. but you have and you deserve all 5*'s. and herdon the great! what a comeback! when the king was so cruel to him at his lowest point he held himself high and embodied who he really is, herdon the great! i look forward to the next in this series. and I would like to honestly thank you, truly. I listen to audible at work and dark stories with no light darken my mood and ruin my day. but this novel held my interest gave me hope and a cast of deep characters I've come to know well. again I thank you.
