Publisher's Summary

After I caught my boyfriend cheating, I tried to be mature about it with an amicable split. But he took his retaliation too far, and I have officially had enough. No more Miss Nice Haven.

No one is allowed to lie to me, betray, embarrass, and devastate me, fill me with self-doubt, or put my future at risk, and expect to get away with it. He is going to feel my wrath.

Enter Wick Webster, his archenemy.

Nothing would provoke my ex more than to see me moving on with the one guy he hates most, so that’s exactly what I plan to do.

The only hitch in my brilliant scheme is Wick himself. He’s just gotta be all love-not-war and peace-is-the-only-way. He’s more concerned about helping me heal than seeking my sweet revenge.

And what the hell is it about his soothing presence and yummy looks that calls to me until I forget how much pain I’m in? He’s making it awfully hard to use and abuse him for my malicious means. The damn guy is making me fall for him.

Funny

Too funny, too cute. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Their families are cray cray. But in a good way.

Boring

I had hope for this story but just wasn’t executed well. It felt draining and poorly written. The female character was bland and useless.

Bizzare alternate universe

Did not finish. The book is apparently set in modern day America but it seems like the college the characters attend is a world of complete anarchy! I lost track of how many times characters were assaulted or stalked and at no point does anyone even consider reporting anything to the police. Instead they rely on their own tough male alliances to try and protect each other. Finally quit reading when a character undergoes a serious medical crisis and the partner does not even think to immediately ring an ambulance! Which in Australia would actually be a breach of the duty of care which all citizens have.

I watched a bollywood movie set in an Indian college in the 80s which was similar to this book. But I can buy this level of disorder in 1980s India. Not in modern day America. I mean I don't expect realism in a romance. But this is taking suspension of disbelief a bit too far!
