Wonderful!
Grandkids (5 and 7) and I thoroughly enjoyed the story, and the narrator was delightful! Good vehicle for discussion - why do so many folks want to fight or watch others fight? Isn’t there a better way? Even though the solution was not an entirely honest one, it was a win for all involved. Perfect for an hour-long car ride.

Loved it!!!
Both my grandson and I loved this short story. We listened to it on a short road-trip we took together today. The performance was great as were the descriptions of the characters especially the dragon. I really liked the fact that the dragon was more interested in poetry than fighting battles. Left me with a smile on my face.

The dragon's reluctant, but the audience is eager.
Ironically, while classic tales of dragons and knights are turned on their head in this story, it has become a classic in its own right. We've all been in this position: we want to be left alone to our own devices, while everyone wants to cut our heads off as enemies of the human race. Okay, maybe we all haven't quite been there, but the dragon's position is still very relatable. In regards to the humans, I felt it was very poignant how they were depicted as flipping their opinion at the drop of a hat. As for Anton Lesser, I feel his voice was one most appropriate for the subject matter. Definitely worth several repeat listens.
