Loved it!

I actually read this story first and then listened to the audible version. I really loved both but prefer the book version better. The reader was not as good as others that I have heard. But the story is fantastic. Loosely based on the bachelor/bachelorette reality show, the story is about honesty, facing up to your mistakes, and real love and romance! This is a clean sweet story that all ages can enjoy! Two thumbs up for this one!!

Funny

the story was good but it seemed to drag on some of the chapters could have been condensed. The narrator was monotone and t9 be honest if it wasn't for the story line I would have stopped listening to it. No steamy sex scenes which I appreciated.

Good Story overall

3.25 Stars for me!

The first 60% of the story was really good and I got to know the major players. The next 25% seemed to drag by and the continued push through the show was a bit painful. The ending was also a bit frustrating with the lack of communication. I did enjoy seeing the waitress put in her place as well as the HEA.

This is a Hallmark caliber story and the heat level was a 1 out of 10. The author can definitely write so I will look for her other books.

Easy Listen, Fun Rom-com

I chose this book for what it is, a fluffy romantic comedy. Some things are incredibly predictable and a bit hard to believe but it's still a fun little escape.
The narration is a bit slow so I upped the speed a bit making it a very easy listen.

1.25 needed!

Story is cute enough, but the narrator almost ruined it with the much too slow, serious cadence not appropriate to this kind of lighter fare. Within two minutes of starting my listen, I increased the audible speed to 1.25 -- much better listening experience.

This book will make your heart lighter!

I thought this book was terrific! Taycee's best friend sets up an online Bachelorette type competition to try to save their town. Taycee suggests that Luke, a guy she has issues with, be the bachelor from their home town. Then she finds out that SHE is the bachelorette! She has to date twenty different men while keeping her floral business going. Some of the guys are real losers, but the audience of the online show gets to vote on who stays. Taycee decides to do a little manipulating to make sure that Luke gets voted off. What will happen when Luke finds out?

Sweet and Funny Romantic Comedy

I enjoyed this plot from beginning to end. It was funny, light and true. I’m not a fan of the Bachelorette’s show or of any reality show as it is, but I did like this book very much. It was different from the TV show because it allowed an actual glimpse of what really goes on in the bachelorette’s life and heart; and of course this story has some setbacks and unexpected elements you wouldn’t have on the TV show.

Taycee is easy to like. She is an honest character but too content with her life. It’s easy to feel her stress and how the complexity of her situation affects her, but I was very proud of how she deals with everything. I think if I would’ve been in her situation, I wouldn’t have came out of it as well as she did. I did think she was a bit of a pushover though, especially allowing her best friend manipulate her that way, that’s a big frown upon Jessa too.

I did like Jessa too. As I already said, she was a bit manipulative, but her heart was in the right place. Plus she was fun to be around, so even if she made me angry at times, I would still like to have her as a friend.

Last but not least, Luke. He was slow to see what was in front of him the whole time, but in the end he did. He was the whole package, but he didn’t make me swoon. I did like him for Taycee though, he was a gentleman, sweet and funny; but what I liked the most about him was that he wasn’t perfect like Jake appeared to be. Who wants perfect? That’s too much pressure, but he was perfect within his flaws.

It took me a while to realize this story was actually being told from both, Taycee and Luke’s points of view, but I liked how their dynamics worked. We got more on the Taycee front, but just enough of Luke’s POV to understand why he acted the way he did and what his true intentions were.

Overall it was a great story, hilarious, enthralling, sweet and fluffy. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good romance. It was very hard for me to unplug me from this book.

To be honest my first impression of Jennifer Reilly’s narration was not good. I felt she was too calm and soft, like the kind of voice of a masseuse in a spa. Certainly not the kind of tone you’d expect for the narrator of a story; and it really ticked me off at first. After a while though, I don’t know if she actually got better or I just got used to it. Maybe I was too engrossed in the story, but it didn’t bother me anymore.

Her character voices are another story. She is actually very good at them. I think that’s part of the reason her spa tone didn’t get to me anymore. I liked how real she made Taycee and Jessa, and even if the bachelors’ voices were a bit alike, she also did a great job with them. Quite manly I have to admit. She even got Miles’ accent right. In brief, when it comes to voices she is quite talented, but on her narrator voice she needs to lighten up the tone a bit.

Super sweet romance

What a sweet funny romance!! I love the whole thing from beginning to end, It takes something that is very now, Reality dating shows, and put it into a small town setting. The story also held many elements that are very current concerning small farming communities. While it is hard to expect problem solving from a romance, this book takes on issues and gives workable solutions.

I loved Taycee from the start, even if her views of things were slightly off. It was strange she would see the others guys teasing as fun but when Luke did the same thing she thought it was baiting and mean. She was a big pushover to her friend, her brother and Luke. She found her backbone in the end, but it was a process.

Luke seems like a great guy, he is just bad at correspondence. I get it, I am totally the same, without Facebook people would never hear from me! Back to the hero, Luke is fun and sweet and everything a nice girl could want.

They have a really terrific banter and playfulness when they are together. You can see why they make a great couple. This is a totally clean romance, that means no sex. There are some really lovely kisses but things do not get to the bedroom. It is the kind of story that gives you warm fuzzies.

There is a lot of story here, and many bachelor to keep track of throughout. i really liked Jake and Miles and hoped they would have HEA of their own mixed into the story. It kinda looked like Jake might with Jessa.

This is a mixed narrative going between the lead character's POVs, although most of the beginning is Taycee. There are a could glimpses of supporting cast too. The peaks into Luke's thoughts are important for getting his motivations and understanding his feeling for Taycee.

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Jennifer Reilly, who has a very smooth read. She had a great tone and pitch that really suit the story. The ladies' voices are varied and consistent, the men are kinda similar at times. She has a very stead pace to her read, I tend to like it quicker, but many will find it a perfect speed. I enjoyed her narration and would definitely try her again.

Overall this is a very sweet romance with some fun moments. This is a first read for me from Ms Anderson and I would definitely do another. She did a great job with the storytelling, great pace and plenty of twists and turns. Loads of story here to keep a gal entertained! Major Kudos.
