Lots of fun
Wasn't sure about this series when I started it with book 1. It started a little slow and I wasn't very invested in the beginning. But man by the end of the first book it was really hitting its stride. Which made me excited to read book 2. Fortunately, unlike some these are coming out quickly. The first book released last month and now this one and it looks like the next will be released in a month. The second book really kept the momentum the second half of the first book had and snowballed it. More characters and interesting things about the world. All of that wrapped up in a package of two of my favorite narrators. Rebecca Woods is probably tied for my #1 favorite narrator. But Daniel is no slouch either.

exceptional
a great squall to book 1. solid progression in both story and character. a good mix of talent skills merchantileism and luck the mc struggles fights loves and falls into enough situations to make the 2nd volume of this series extremely enjoyable. I highly recommend this series for isekai / cultivation enthusiasts

it's a great second act

Even Better than Book 1
on a whim and good advise I started listening to this series. It is AMAZING and well worth every second. The second book picked right up and was entertaining and enjoyable the entire time. New girls, new spells, new tower and new monsters. you should pick this book and series up now!

Another inconsistency, please start taking better notes.
The book is good, performance is great, but you really gotta start writing down lore notes. In book one the humans and beastkin allied to over throw the elves but the humans refused to give them positions of power, now here in book two were told that the beastkin allied with the elves.
