Great Read

The Reality Bride’s Baby: The Blushing Brides Series was a great read by Lorana Hoopes. Tyler and Laney met each other on a reality dating show. They had their celebrity wedding and never know what else could be in store for them. This was a great follow up story to The Cowboy's Reality Bride. I can't wait to read more by Lorana Hoopes.

A great lunchtime read!

I love the short reads for when I am in between books and have to fill a short amount of time the perfect. Although I think this one would’ve been better had I read book one of the blushing bride Siri‘s it was still pretty good there wasn’t anything that I didn’t conclude on my own from the story it’s just that I like knowing the backstory as well. This is a really good book that was very cute and very sweet it was pretty awesome!

Love revisiting characters!

I love catching up with characters and this short lets us see Tyler and Laney after the reality TV show. The two are having a baby, and boy are they happy. But as we know, pregnancy and birth is never as expected and this short has it's worries and smiles. I really enjoyed their journey to parenthood. Lorana Hoopes continues her narration of their story with her wonderful voice. There is nothing better than hearing the characters as you have come to know them, and she brings it all to life just as it is meant to be. I loved this quick listen.

Recommended after 'The Cowboy's Reality Bride'

A terrific story and fitting epilogue for 'The Cowboy's Reality Bride'. I loved how Ms. Hoopes woven the christian belief into the story naturally and seamlessly. It is very realistic. She also did great job narrating.

I recieved a free Audible copy of this story, at my request, in exchange for a honest review.

A worty sequel for Laney & Tyler

The Reality Bride’s Baby (Blushing Brides #2), my seventeenth incredible read from wonderful Christian author Lorana Hoopes. The author’s Texas roots show as her books are set in The Lonestar State. This is another amazing Christian read, God's hand is apparent throughout the book, if there's a flaw in this book it's that it's too short, After having read The Cowboy’s Reality Bride (Blushing Brides #1) I wanted to read more about Laney & Tyler and was pleased to find there was a sequel. I don't do spoilers though so you'll have to read it and find out for yourself! I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing. Lorana Hoopes’s talented self-narration & Texas accent/drawl adds to the well-written book's enjoyment as no one knows her characters like the creator. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series, Ava's Blessing in Disguise (Blushing Brides #3). (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Baby time

So I love that we get to see more of Laney and Tyler. I enjoyed their love story. But with that said this book is confusing to me as an ex labor and delivery nurse. It makes no sense to me that they would do an ultrasound to check the position of the baby if the heart rate had dropped and wasn’t going back up. I suppose if the heart rate wasn’t at dangerous levels but if it was at a dangerous level they wouldn’t stop to do it because the baby would need to be deliveries right away. They wouldn’t even attempt a vaginal delivery. And then to allow them time to pray when the heart rate had been down for 8 minutes also seems crazy unless the heart rate was at a safe level. They would be putting her in a knee chest position or at least on her side with oxygen and rushing her to the OR. And if it the heart rate was low enough the would do a general instead of a spinal. So my assumption is that the heart rate was concerning but was ok. Because if it was emergent surgery the husband also wouldn’t have gone in. And regardless of emergent or not most places make the dad leave the OR when the baby is taken out.
The other thing that gets me is on one side Laney says God is in control so no reason to be all alarmed and then we have her so worried she can’t concentrate on anything else.
Besides those two things it was a fun, clean, short story.

Like hearing a friend's life-changing experience

This is effectively an extended epilogue taking place approx. 2 years after the "The Cowboy's Reality Bride", while it can standalone, it will be better if you know the characters from reading the previous story.

I loved seeing Laney & Tyler's journey to parenthood.

And I really empathized with Laney as my 1st pregnancy had some complications, and ended with an emergency cesarean (& ended up having to deliver my next 4 by cesarean, too - I told them that should answer if they ever doubt my love for them, lol).

It's scary times like that which remind us how much we depend on God, & my spiritual journey was similar to Laney's as well so I really identified with her experiences.

The only thing I would change is I would have liked a little more of their family's HEA after the delivery. After so much serious, I think it would have been more savory with a warmer, more lighthearted ending.

[The author's audio narration of the story is well done. She has a pleasant voice, does a good job with delineating different character voices for the listener to distinguish & maintains a natural conversational tone & flow to the reading pace.]

Sweet follow up

This was a short, sweet follow up to The Cowboy’s Reality Bride. I was happy to see a follow up book following Laney and Tyler during her pregnancy. Tyler is such a sweet man and this is such a sweet story you can’t help wishing it was longer. Great narration by Lorana as always. Definitely recommend .

Wonderful to read more of Tyler's and Laney's stor

**I am reviewing the audio version of this book**
I did read the first book in this series and thoroughly enjoyed it.

this is just a little follow up to Tyler and Laney’s story. It did have some suspense in it. It was short, but gave us a glimpse in to Laney’s and Tyler’s life, at least in her pregnancy and the birth of their son.
Again the Narration was very well done.
