Men have been conditioned to be the quintessential "nice guy". They're trained to be overly humble, kind to a fault, and that just "being themselves" is enough to attract and keep the woman of their dreams. Men are told to believe that conventional masculinity is toxic and to put women ahead of their own interests, passions, and purpose. This book exposes the comforting lies you've been told throughout your life for what they really are, enabling you to become a truly authentic alpha who chases excellence and leads a successful passion-filled life.

This essay aims to inform the reader about the real mathematical chances of success he faces in the pursuit of women, as well as the modern-day risks, so that he may make an informed economic decision as to how he best invests his life. It also aims to align the reader's expectations with reality so his life is not ruined by delusion or hope, both of which have ruined millions of lives in the past. But in short, this essay is nothing less than the most important cost-benefit analysis any man will read.

Hidden somewhere, in nearly every major city in the world, is an underground seduction lair. And in these lairs, men trade the most devastatingly effective techniques ever invented to charm women. This is not fiction. These men really exist. They live together in houses known as Projects. And Neil Strauss, the best-selling author, spent two years living among them, using the pseudonym Style to protect his real-life identity. The result is one of the most explosive and controversial books of the year.

What is masculinity? Ask ten men and you'll get ten vague, conflicting answers. Unlike any book of its kind, The Way of Men offers a simple, straightforward answer - without getting bogged down in religion, morality, or politics. It's a guide for understanding who men have been and the challenges men face today. The Way of Men captures the silent, stifling rage of men everywhere who find themselves at odds with the overregulated, overcivilized, politically correct modern world.

Power has an appearance and appearance has power. Ideally those two would line up together and the world would be full of good, masculine men who dress and look like good masculine men. But all too often, reality is something different. There are good men and strong leaders out there who dress and look like children or bums. There are awful, lazy men in the world who dress in a way that hides their vices from those around them and makes them appear better than they truly are. In an attempt to correct for these disparities, our current culture tries to rob both appearance of its power and power of its appearance - to say that the way a person dresses or looks doesn’t - or at least shouldn’t matter.

Good, modern, civilized Western men today are expected to think like "citizens of the world" - obligated to everyone and no one. Natural, meaningful tribal connections have been substituted with synthetic, disposable consumer identities. Without a sense of who they are and what group they have a place in, modern men are becoming increasingly detached, disoriented, vulnerable, and ever more easily manipulated.

Models is the first book ever written on seduction as an emotional process rather than a logical one, a process of connecting with women rather than impressing them. It's the most mature and honest guide on how a man can attract women without faking behavior, without lying and without emulating others. A game-changer.

Publisher's Summary
The Rational Male is a rational and pragmatic approach to intergender dynamics and the social and psychological underpinnings of intergender relations. The book is the compiled, 10-year core writing of author/blogger Rollo Tomassi from therationalmale.com.
Rollo Tomassi is one of the leading voices in the globally growing, male-focused online consortium known as the "Manosphere". Outlined are the concepts of positive masculinity, the feminine imperative, plate theory, operative social conventions, and the core psychological theory behind game awareness and "red pill" ideology. Tomassi explains and outlines the principles of intergender social dynamics and foundational reasoning behind them.

Absolute pseudoscience. Can't recommend to anyone.
This book's taget audience is comprised by impressionable, young, pick-up artist wannabes that seek comfort due to their lackluster performance with women. Men that look for "Great! So it's not my fault I'm a loser!" will find great pleasure in this book.
That's coming from a 21 year old male. You CAN be a masculine man, but not because of this book.
To add insult to injury the narrator is so robotic-sounding I practically had to force myself to endure the 14 painful hours.

Self-confidence goes up just by reading this book
I rarelly, if ever, read books twice. I'm thinking about going through this one for the third time now. This book has made me aware, and now immune, to all the shaming that society does to men for just being men. As a student of the mind and human nature, I was quite aware that shame is the most paralyzing and crippling states of mind a person can have. The knowledge and wisdom contained in this book has opened my eyes to social conventions that were totally invisible to me and were feeding that sense of shame. I can say I'm a more confident man after reading it. As the author says, knowing is half the battle. Thank you, Rollo.

Highly, highly recommend!
This book describes and helps you understand the sociological and psychological reason behind much of what is embedded in our culture in terms of masculinity and feminism.
I am a 22 year old male, in shape, single, and on a successful path in life, therefore I thought I was a prize to women but for some reason, the most of the women I was trying to get with "didn't see it" or I was (in my head) "too mature for they're linear cognitive functioning for our age". There are a few things I was completely missing. Half way through the book I felt my actions changing, mindset changing, and sure enough I have had positive results (I'll save the dirty details). I believe the main reason was that this book gave me the edge of confidence and slight change in mindset that I needed to make it work better for me.
I lacked the understanding of how women worked psychologically, and based my "game" off of the wrong concepts to appeal to women. I already had most of the characteristics necessary to appeal to women, however this book allowed me to do some necessary fine tuning to my 'game'. This book will make you look back and realize where you went wrong in past relations, and why women make the decisions they do, and take the actions they do; even if it seems it makes no since on a functional level.

Every man MUST read this book, several times over.
What did you love best about The Rational Male?
It helped me realize, why as a man I have suffered so much in my life. It was nothing I was doing, I was following all the advice women gave, all the ideas you see in movies, music, I thought women wanted a man who was caring and affectionate, this book helped me realize.. That all my suffering was due from the identification with feminist ideals. The line:A Man's love is unconditional and loves simply for love, a woman's love on the other hand is opportunistic, there's a condition to receiving it. Cut me like a knife....
What did you like best about this story?
The analogy with the matrix, first made me laugh and then question the validity of this book. But as Rollo continues explaining throughout the book and referencing the similarities, that laughter soon turned into a complex set of a emotions that I cannot describe, you realize.. It's true.. We men have been made victims and no one will believe you because, they're part of the system, and just like the matrix, they will fight to preserve it..
What did you learn from The Rational Male that you would use in your daily life?
Once you know this truth.... You cannot go back. You cannot look at women the same and you realize, just how fucked up it is that your needs as a man, were never important to the world, yet your accomplishments is what everyone will relish in..
Any additional comments?
Thank you for this insight..... Thank you for unplugging me from this matrix..

A lot of good. A lot of bad.
The audio book needs to be played at 2X speed or it is painfully slow.
This is not a book that discusses masculine traits or "how to be a man," but rather how to understand women and position yourself sexually amongst them.
While it correctly discusses hypergamy and the femme-centric narrative, it is far removed from a biblical world view. The author admits this and avoids discussions of morality.
The book is also a loose collection of his blogs. That results in a jumbled, repetitive narrative improperly segmented for clarity of theme and building linear understanding. It is also unnecessarily profane.

Although Rollo is a Grifter and takes advantage of people as a person I still recommend this book.

Great book but dismal delivery
Great book. But the reader sounds like a robotic Burger King commercial accompanied by noise every time the voice speaks.

Brilliant red pill advice.
Hard to swallow at first but is a real eye opener and a must read for all males. My only regret is that I didn't have this book 20 years ago.

May be a good book...couldn't tell
May be a good book but the terrible narration made it impossible to listen long enough to find. Worst narrator I've tried to listen to, literally impossible...awful!!

Say “yes” now to speak to sales.
I really can’t get on with this book, it isn’t the author it’s the narrator. He sounds like an a computer generated voice with no emotion, monotone, delivered all at the same speed. It makes this book really hard to listen to. This was my first book on audible and I hope there not all like this

Eye opener
This book has really made me think about my own relationship and my relationship with women in general. It explains the motives behind flirting, going out and how to stand out as an Alpha male. I'm am 25 years old so I am glad to listen to this at my age. I will use the method I have learned in this book from now on. A great read 👍thank you!

Great Content But Not The Greatest Narration
This is a must read for every young man out there . its simply filled with heat psychological secrets and awareness points. At its core, this is a book that will help men be aware of thier value and how to increase it and be if good use to society and enable them to make sound decisions about inter gender relationships.

Solid Concepts. Terrible Narration.
Despite the solid and important concepts, the narration made this book almost unlistenable to. It was read by a synthetic narration robot, or somebody with a voice just like one. It got annoying very quickly and stayed that way until the end, which often distracted from the message. I suggest buying the physical version unless you really can't spare the time. The narration hurts the head at the same time as the concepts described expand it.

Be careful, maybe find some inner peace and self love and save yourself a lengthy life lesson
This book is a dangerous book if you read it with a brittle mind.
I have no issues what so ever with the opposite sex, I got this book purely to see if it could reinforce certain beliefs and bring new valuable information , and it does...
But not all of it is accurate , most of it is opinionated and juvenile.
There is some great content in regards to male empowerment that I feel is valuable and much needed but it’s laced with content that can unnecessarily warp your brain and ultimately burden you unnecessarily.
Take it all with a grain of salt , as soon as something doesn’t rub you the right way take note of it and keep listening, make sure you form your own opinion but question your own opinions at the end of it all.
Women aren’t as complex as this book makes out, man aren’t as repressed and poor done by as this book would impress upon you.
There is a world where all of these problems and pitfalls simply don’t exist , get to that place, once you figure out your personal issues that you have with YOURSELF, most of the content will be abit sad.... this is a view point, in it there lyes good information and information that is relative only to certain people in certain situations, don’t let this material become a text book, it’s not based on anything beyond observations and opinions which will be found to be flawed and short sighted, and will only serve to further burden your life if you take to it like a Sacred text... good luck.

Satire: How to Build Ego Like Trump for Dummies
The authors End Game here is to convince you to wear a mask of egocenticity (self-interest 24/7).
If you follow this advice, you will be LESS, like you. You'll become another shade of Chameleon - ruthlessly judgemental, detached, without scrupals. Too easy!
Welcome to an Elite whoremongering club - who's claim to fame is exchange of bodily fluid, and at all costs, lie about it, in the event you come across a class act... A trustworthy, respectful, intelligent, kind hearted person. Really? Good, Lord!
You never know Ladies - your love interest could be the Town Bike and everyone BUT you, knows that. You, poor Dear. (See "Micro-expressions", John Gottman) #Manosphere
If sleeze IS your thing - You could join adult websites instead? Go nuts!
Instead of pretending to be something you're not.
And then what?
You'll be addicted to yet, something else. In need of dedicated therapy to undo your infamous memories that won't magically detach from your subconscious.
I realise, the porn industry prays upon clueless lonely guys, and this is no exception. You are led by "a Blogger" off a cliff of debauchery. (In the real world, the prostitute - paid for sex, is NOT the Fool.)
So, IF in buying this book you hope to score a hawt body to be your Soul Mate through counter-scheming mind-games...and believing your thoughts to be rational. That is, in fact, a "relationship" of One, guys.
In the 50s it was called, Trying, before buying... But the Rules of Nature will NEVER change... SEX IS chemical addiction (natures love potion) for up to 2 years. By then you will blame others for the double bind you are faced with, yet again. Repeating your pattern of clueless, immature, egotism.
As we are all human, resistance to expressing and feeling emotions magnifys them. Eventually, the reflection of your Egos mirror will crack before your very eyes and you'll realise the truth that must be said, to the person it must be said to, is from your Adult Self, to your fragmented, ignorant, child Self. Who, effing waits for you to rescue them. Acknowlege what they feel, forgive them, accept them, and Thank them for getting you through tough times.
Under no one else's instruction, do we ever Grow Up, until we have a gentle conversation with our child's ego, and give ourselves the LOVE we wished our caregivers had given us.

Listened to this entire book overnight - riveting
Must read prior to marriage and dating women. Completely demystifies why many women cheat with bad alpha types and marry nice guys or use them shamelessly as placeholders and why many women have no remorse in dumping a nice guy who invested all his time and recources thinking authentic sex and affection can be bargained for with a woman. Why women can become completely unreasonable/heartless and how the governments and courts have become completely gynocentric and support injustice towarda men

Don't buy this if you're not open minded.
First off, there are some good points in here. I wouldn't call them facts, but for the sake of gender based debates they provide interesting arguments and I'd agree with a lot of the points to a degree.
However based on the language and concepts, I'd say the book/this guy's whole deal takes advantage of the "betas". The whole philosophy of it seems to mainly apply to guys who have trouble with girls/relationships and it picks on their insecurities - providing the "solution". Afterall, that would be the majority market for this kind of stuff.
Nothing wrong with that, but I just think the target audience is a vulnerable one. Guys buy into the whole - "I have to be an alpha shit" pretty easily without even considering that behaviour is exactly the opposite of how an "alpha" should act.
Overall there's many flaws in the arguments and it makes a bit of a joke of science at some points and you probably won't be too impressed with the author. BUT equally it's worth a read for men and women regardless of political views and relationships - assuming you aren't quick to join or oppose the opinions.

An essential read for every guy!
I bet i am not the first to say this should be mandatory reading for guys. That the information in this book is focused on a man developing himself rather than focusing on the attraction of the opposite sex makes this book gold to me
