Great story - don’t expect historical accuracy

I really enjoyed the story. It certainly was far from historically accurate but the performance was great and it was overall a good historical fiction book.

Definitely the best portrayal of Bess Blount, mistress of Henry the 8th, who gave him a son. Love the narrator and all of her voices. Listened to this one nonstop. Recommend.

I enjoyed this book so much. The writing is extremely well done. Haeger’s descriptions make me feel like I was there and the story is told in a most compelling way. Excellent read!

great story

excellent part of these series love to hear what could had been behind the scenes with Bessie Blount and the sacrifice she had to endure by having your child taken away from you. Great writing and narrator a most read or listen your choice

Finally Bessie's Story is Told!

I loved the story of Henry The Eighth's first chosen mistress. It was a really good story that kept me captivated. The narrator was excellent.
