The Queen = Answers

I loved this book!!!
The Queen was perfect, I have wanted to know how and when and why so much happened from before and this book gave all the answers. I never understood until now why it took Nora so long to go back, and this gives us the why of it all. I also learned a lot more about Soren and Kingsley and how the three work.

I can’t believe I am almost done all the books! I have novella’s and Wes’s book what will I do after I am done!

I again loved the French accent she uses. :)

A Fitting Conclusion

'The Queen' brings everything full-circle. Going from the present-day wedding of Griffin and Michael, then jumping back in time to re-tell parts of Nora's story during her time apart from Soren, I am amazed by the complexity of this story. Even though the content had all been covered, loosely, in earlier books in the series, reading Nora's account added a new perspective. Like another piece in a complicated puzzle, each book in this series unveils details and truths that were previously hidden. Little by little, it all comes together.

This book covers multiple time periods, but focuses predominantly on Nora's time training and working as a dominatrix. Nora's emotional state and motivations for leaving Soren are explored more closely this time around. Surprisingly, she maintained a closer, albeit strained, relationship with Soren than I had imagined during their estrangement.

As with earlier books in this series, I continue to be awed by the dynamics of the relationships between the multiple characters. Soren, Nora and Kingsley are especially intriguing. The love, trust and intimacy is almost tangible between all of them. I've never read another story where the author was actually able to pull off a storyline based on polyamory in a believable, sincere manner. Yet, time and again, Ms. Reisz makes it work.

This time around, I did find myself a little vague on some of the details from previous books. It'd been awhile, so I had to refresh myself on some of the details surrounding the supporting characters. With a little skimming of the other books, it all came back though.

Ultimately, everything didn't end the way I had hoped or envisioned. However, I understood why things worked out the way they did and accepted it, even if I wish I could change some of the details. Still, this is a great series and one of my favorites.

Elizabeth Hart was outstanding with the delivery of the story

Finally!!

We finally see all the characters we love happy. It's amazing to think after everything they have all done to each other that they can all come together and get what they want after all these years. I feel like I will have a hole in my life now that the stories have ended. But maybe we will get another story years later w Soren's son?!...

Bittersweet

I am happy and sad all at the same time! Have followed Eleanor (Nora), Soren and Kingsley through all of there trails and tribulations from the beginning. I am happy there is a happy ever after, but sad that this is the last book. Will not miss them! I was always eager to find out what kind of adventures Nora (Eleanor) was going to have next!!

Worst book of the series

This book made me hate Nora more than ever - she is probably the most selfish person in the book. All that moaning and groaning about Soren hurting her in the previous book by not accepting that she was a switch - such rubbish, he found her in pain and going through an abortion alone and asked her to marry him. She responds to that with cruel calculation in telling him that she’d topped Kingsley - knowing full well that Soren loved him. Soren and Kingsley deserved better. HATED this book. Only finished it because I’ve read all 7 others and needed to know the end.
Spoiler ahead:
And then the thing about grace and the baby - so apparently Nora knew Soren wanted a baby and so she ‘gave it to him through grace’ such rubbish - as if she could’ve known grace would get pregnant from that one night. It completely ruins what we’ve come to believe of Soren’s character. And let’s not forget Nora was surprised when she found out the baby was Soren’s. Grace and Zach don’t belong in this series at all. Such a let down from Tiffany Reisz. It feels like she knew she made a mistake with that plot element and is trying her best to justify it. Fail. :(

Must Listen To Series

Tiffany Reisz has such a balletic writing style and her audiobooks are simply divine. Who knew religion would be thought-provoking and awe-inspiring in a BDSM themed romance novel!

I loved Elizabeth Hart's interpretation of the characters. For me, she brought them to life in a way that they will live on inside me for years to come.

Even if BDSM romance isn't your thing (it certainly isn't mine) this series is still a must read. You can't help but fall in love with the characters and their unique style and personalities.

Soron for Pope? Maybe not, but then again, he already rules my heart. As for Nora, well, don't we all just want to be her?!
