Too short! I realuze it's a novella, but stil...

Could have had a lot more back story and been longer even for a novella. I felt like I didn't get my money's worth.

Short But Sweet

I was wondering how Cass could pull off a likeable Prince Clarkson. I was impressed that she didn't change his character, and made no excuses for him either. His love for Amberly made sense. Very well written for a novella.

I wanted the backstory first.

I listened to this book to help me determine whether or not to listen to the Selection series. It held my interest enough so I will. I usually prefer mysteries but I like to occasionally mix things up a bit. I am looking forward to listening to the series.

Ahhh! It was too short it was nice but too short for me! I know it was novella… but it was too short!

I read this after I read The Selection and i enjoyed hearing where the Queen came from and how her Selection went.

this was a great little side project that was a key to the prospective to everything

engaging in every sense

I'm not a teenager. I'm a 46 year old professional writer comma and I don't know how she does it but this author has entranced me with all of her books.

Really great build up (+spoilers)

Even though I haven't read the other books in the series I could catch on to everything, the caste system especially, really well.

But if I were Amberley, I wouldn't have cut my hair. lol.

Outstanding prequel!

This is awesome! It explains the devotion King Clarkson and Queen Am early had for each other as well as the relationship between King Clarkson and Prince Maxin. Loved it! Also loved the performance by Rachael F. Hirsch!

Feel Good Book

The sweet and charming romance and the soothing voice of the heroin combine to make this book enjoyable. It is a favorite, not too long in length.
I have listened at least 10 times.
I would love to know what happens to Queen Abbey and the king!
