Short But Sweet

I was wondering how Cass could pull off a likeable Prince Clarkson. I was impressed that she didn't change his character, and made no excuses for him either. His love for Amberly made sense. Very well written for a novella.

So so

Think Hunger Games + The Bachelor = The Selection Series

It's fun reading, a bit if mind candy. Doesn't take a lot of energy to read. If you are looking for a diversion and enjoy the traditional rags to riches story line then this one should hit home for you. I'm looking forward to the next story in the line.

This one wasn't quite as completing as the others. It displays the makings of a truly destructive relationship. I could have taken or left it and been just as fine. Luckily it's short.

What a waste

There wasn't even a story. It was definitely a waste of money. It's such a shame because I loved the first book and thought the others were at least okay.

Outstanding Narration!

What made the experience of listening to The Queen the most enjoyable?

As the narrator, Rachel made each character's voice distinct. She made it so easy to know when a new character was speaking which provided for a really enjoyable listening experience.

What did you like best about this story?

I haven't read the rest of the Selection series, and this book made me want to read more.

Have you listened to any of Rachel F. Hirsch’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I also listened to THE ICE CAPTAIN'S DAUGHTER. That book required various accents as well. I was really impressed with (in both books) how she was able to make each voice sound so different, and how the voices she used in the two books differed from each other.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I didn't have an extreme reaction. I just enjoyed it.

Any additional comments?

I look forward to listening to more books narrated by Rachel F. Hirsch because she is not monotone, she is easy to listen to, and she does great character voices. My only complaint about the book is I enjoyed the book so much I wish it were longer!

Feel Good Book

The sweet and charming romance and the soothing voice of the heroin combine to make this book enjoyable. It is a favorite, not too long in length. I have listened at least 10 times. I would love to know what happens to Queen Abbey and the king!

Disappointing

The narrator's accent did not match the queen of the original books. It's very distracting.
