WORST! NARRATION! EVER!!!!!!!

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Gobsmackingly horrible narration! All characters sound as if they are forlorn castrati with desperate sinus problems and a profound flu. It should be removed from circulation with apologies. It's almost impossible to ruin a Wodehouse story. Congratulations! It's perfectly destroyed.

What other book might you compare The Purity of the Turf to and why?

There is a wide range of Wodehouse books and stories in audio format with an almost equally wide range of quality of narration. This is so much by far the worst that it is very difficult to explain. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't heard with my own ears.

How could the performance have been better?

Only one way: don't allow this man to narrate any more Wodehouse under any circumstances.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The text itself is brilliant. It's the performance that is shocking.
