Publisher's summary

I can’t save myself from the cloister, and maybe I never could. The prophet grows more dangerous by the day. His delusions are steeped in blood, and if I’m not careful, that blood will be my own. Despite the growing risk, I still continue the search for the truth, no matter if the thorny path eventually twists back to Adam, guilt in his dark eyes. I’ve seen glimpses of his soul, and I know there is more to him than the monster, but it’s so hard to reach him.

I knew when I came here I’d have to fight, I just didn’t realize the war would be waged on so many fronts.

Author's note: If you have a trigger, this audiobook will pull it. If you haven't listened to audiobook one, The Maiden, then you should do that first. The Prophet is the second audiobook in the Cloister series, and the conclusion to the series, The Church, is available now.

DARK, GRIPPING & A BLOODBATH OF FEELS

Wow.. wow.. wow.. and once more I say wow.. this, and book 3, was tense edge-of-your-seat storytelling as the nail-biting very dark suspenseful dramatic scenes didn’t ease up until the very end.. think The Handmaid’s Tale but much much muuuuuuch darker.. and even more depraved and twisted. Because Delilah’s quest to find her sister’s murderer, her brainwashing, her sexual training in submission and her verbal and physical abuse continues at The Ministries. The religious cult is spearheaded by a charlatan Prophet whose greed and psychotic beliefs has him imposing his own perverted version of God’s word.. while also worshiping and giving human sacrifices to the Father of Flames to further greatness for his corrupt evil empire.

However, despite the many harrowing ordeals Delilah and Adam suffer through, their undying love for each other continues to be unbreakable, all consuming and beautiful. But, there were times in this epic rollercoaster ride, when I doubted a happy ending.. then I prayed on everything holy that Celia Aaron WOULD give this couple deliverance from evil, WOULD slay all the sycophants and bad guys and that their liberation from Hell WOULD be the happy ending I was so rooting for.. and WOW did she deliver.

Worth a credit? This whole trilogy was epic, unique and multi-layered storytelling at its best. The suspenseful journey was dark, intense and depraved. The passion-filled highs were mere stolen moments of happy.. and the lows were filled with spine-chilling scenes of badness. The dual and sometimes triple POV chapters were faultless as each narrator perfectly portrayed their character’s ride in Hell which was chilling, emotionally gripping and filled with bloody potholes. Nevertheless it’s a big fat bursting at the seams YES from me as to creditworthy.. each and every book is absolutely unforgettable.

Too short and cliffhanger. Still worth it!

Obviously, trying to make you spend as much credits as possible. Still an exciting dark story. I will be listening to the next one

A Wild Ride

I thought The Maiden was crazy, but this one reveals so much more of the goings on within this church and my jaw hung open nonstop. The Things Delilah goes through and even Adam were insane. So many things are revealed that I didn't see coming at all and I must praise the author for her evil genius mind. I could practically feel the pressure on Adam and Delilah as the longer they stay, the more in danger they both become. Adam will do anything to protect her, even at the risk of his own life. He can't stay away from her and their chemistry is one of my favorite things about this series. The stakes have been raised and that ending literally made me gasp. Need to know how its all going to end. The narration was fantastic. Muffy, Teddy, and J.F. Harding were an excellent combo. At the beginning Muffy does a great job voicing a hysterical, crazed, drugged up Delilah. Definitely listen to this series.

Cliffhanger UGH

Dad (The Prophet) is an a hole who uses religion to be a pig. Mom (Prophet's wife) is twisted, murderous and brainwashed. Noah is clueless but coming out of the fog. Grace is just a stupid evil B***ch. The congregation ugh. Just ugh. I don't like how it ended. So now I have to read the last one in hopes the senator gets what's coming to his sick ass. Hopefully the H &H get a HEA. I feel for people who have gone through this kind of stuff. Cults and brainwashing. SMH

Review on The Prophet

Absolutely riveting! I have heard of books that involved Covens, Churches run by one individual that answered to only one leader, but until I read these last two books I had no idea this could exist in the world of which we live in today. Every individual must have have an awareness around them at all times to prevent being taken. If someone is a witness to an individual being forced against their will, contact proper authorities immediately. I embraced & could relate to the love between Adam & Adele (Emmy) and challenge you to read the full series of The Cloister Series as you will not be disappointed!

5 stars for all three books

if you want a more detailed review please check out book 3 I did leave a more detailed review there all three books were fantastic I have zero issues with any of it however keep in mind that this has to do with a cult so if you do have any triggers then I would suggest that you not read these books there is a lot of side stories that really blended into the main story which was expertly done, again if you have triggers please don't read this book there's a cliffhanger but the next book is out in the series
