Excellent book the power of a praying parent

This book by Stormie Omartian is a must have in every household, next to your Bible have this book too. I love it , the book is a very powerful tool to raise our children in the fear of the Lord along with the Word. One thing that I like very much from Stormie is that she is always taking us to that scriptures , her books are rooted in the Scriptures. I pray to God that HE continue to raised more women like Stormie rooted in his Word in Jesus name I pray Amén

Wonderful guidance on praying for your children

Wish I would have listened/read this sooner. But it’s never too late to begin praying for your child. Great biblical words of wisdom and wonderful prayers.

I loved this so much! I listened to the audible and had to stop it frequently to write down verses and declarations I could use to speak over my daughters! Thank you for such a wealth of knowledge and verses for almost every situation that may arise in our children!

A Strong Foundation

I've prayed through the Power of a Praying Wife for many years. I'm happy to have this book as a foundation for my daughter. It is biblically sound. There's a strange review that says it's not, but that's just not true. I have the ebook as well and I'll continue to use that to review prayers and the scripture at the end of each chapter.

Note to author/ editor: In the Audible version, the appendix is listed as a chapter but not included. The last chapter is actually a great addition of adjusting the prayers for adult children. It's longer than the penultimate chapter. This is an error of how the last chapters are labeled.

Biblically inaccurate

After reading and studying my Bible, a lot of what she says is foreign to what the scriptures teach. I would encourage everyone who listens to this book to line it up with what the bible says in context. We are to test all things and hold to that which is good (1 Thessalonians 5:21). We are not to add to what God has said or take away from it (Deuteronomy 4, Revelation 22:18-19, and proverbs 30:6). Be careful what you believe and openly accept as truth friends.

Are you calling kids in the middle of the night? Read and pray this daily!

I was calling my kids in the middle of the night and odd hours; fearing the worst. Then I started praying these prayers over them along with the Lord’s Prayer
And Wow! Our relationship blossomed (partly because I stopped waking them up)
But these prayers and protection from the Holy Spirit really helped to bring joy to us all! Thank you for the book!

The prayers are a must!

I appreciated the prayers and her attempt to offer examples. But I believe she oversimplified several things and don’t believe she did much research to reach a wide audience with different life experiences.

I have enjoyed listening to this book and I have learnt a lot from the book. every praying parent should read this book! I like that she stresses it's never too early to pray for your child. I will certainly be gifting this book to new parents oh and have already shared with some friends on audible!
