Jason is a WAAPA graduate and has appeared in the Aussie productions of Disney’s Alladin and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, before landing the lead role of Alexander Hamilton.
Anita and Jason chatted about what it was like going back onstage after 117 days because of the COVID lockdown, why the South African born performer migrated to Australia with his family and what measures he went through to assimilate in a new country.
We also spoke about the power of Hamilton, how it’s the most culturally diverse musical in the world, why it resonates with an Australian audience and just how long he’d like to play the role for!
