Tour de Force

Jonathan Wilson is the finest football writer that I have ever read. He brings the romance of Brian Glanville, the detail of Sid Lowe, the gravitas of Henry Winter, and Michael Cox’s tactical analysis.

Wilson blends big-picture synthesis with stories of particular matches. I have waited for this audiobook since I preordered ordered it months ago. I adored it so much that I finished it in just a few days.

Wilson has written a magnificent book. The narrator made the audio version a joy!

Excellent coverage, choppy narrative, awful reader

The narrator is slow, the recording cuts off words, uses a slightly different text, and is poor quality, and the pronunciation, especially of names, is often incorrect. Good book with a low-quality audiobook.
