God I hope this was Ai

This book was so bad. The characters were cardboard story was nonexistent world building was a sticky note. If this written by a person I would be shocked.

It’s like he knocked off the X-Men and Drew Hayes superpowered all in one whack. Drew Hayes did it much better.

might be ai but this is a mess.

The story is a mess. The prologue is just exposition that is entirely generic that I assume sets up the villains incredibly poorly.
The powers and school just feel odd and disjointed, a character who controls people with music projects music and then controls them? A character with storm powers who from what ive seen just shoots lightning from his hands. The school puts the students through deadly trials day one, the teachers are obsessed with strength and despise weakness when the schools whole purpose is to teach control? The first class has people pushing there abilities limits under a teacher's guidance with the teacher criticizing characters for information she should not know (Met them literally 20 mins ago).

Characters automatic know things and forget things multiple times. The main character tells his powers to someone but the very next chapter that person has to relearn those abilities. I stopped when a character mentioned how the main character is improving substantially on the first day.

Just a lot of work needs to be done here...

The narrator did a good job

The narrator did a good job and the story itself is written well I enjoy this book and I listened to it several times
