In the middle of the audiobook, you begin to get a better feel of the main female characters and their relationship with others and their homeland Jamaica. This is where the storyline starts to revolve more around them. Also, I truly appreciate how the author wrote the story mainly in its timeline order, and not that back and forth jumping some authors do. In all, the entire story left me fulfilled, yet intriguingly haunted for some reason. I would love to sit down and chat with the author. Well done!
Intriguing!

What did you like best about The Pirate's Daughter? What did you like least?
The thing I liked most and least about this book is that there was a lot going on. It seemed like there were 3 books in this one book. I like this because it made for easy discussion for our book club. I don't like it because there was just too much jumping around. Instead of connecting small stories, write one well thought out one.Would you be willing to try another book from Margaret Cezair-Thompson? Why or why not?
I would not, I didn't think this one looked good but kind of got roped into it via book club.Which scene was your favorite?
I always liked it when Ida went to visit her grandmother. If this book were a movie would you go see it?
No, this would not make a good movie... too much jumping around from scene to scene, from country to country, etc.A good book club story
