Loved This!!

I have always loved The Phantom of the Opera, but always felt uneasy with parts of it. I must say, this series filled the gaps and took away my uneasiness. Thank you Davyne DeSye for the time spent on this series!

So Wonderful!

What a great extension of Phantom and how cool is it that the author is the narrator. I have to admit, I struggled a little settling in with the first book but was hooked by the end. Book 3’s content was thought but the childhood journey is what made Eric who he is as an adult.

Narrated by the author!

I'm am so impressed by the author's narration of this series. she does better than many other professional narrator/voice actors I have listened to. This series is the author's fiction following the Phantom of the Opera. My Gen Z kids would call this fan fiction, but fan fiction brings to mind poorly written teenage fantasy written in composition notebooks and this much higher quality writing. the stories are well thought out and clever. The story does get into PG-13 territory but nothing more.

The Phantom Rising Series

I have loved the Phantom of the Opera since I was in High school. I love the way Davyne DeSye has gone into how The Phantom came to be she has told his story beautifully. And I love that she is the narrator of her books as she is the best person to do that. Her voice is beautiful.

THE RISING OF THE PHANTOM

A UNIQUE STORY WITH MYSTERY AND SOME SPOOKINESS TO IT. THE NARRATOR DID A GREAT JOB WITH THE STORY. PERFECT FOR ANY TIME OF THE YEAR.

I like that it's inspired by phantom of the opera but for me I didn't love the narrator

loved it

I didn't expect to love this story as much as I did. I have always wished Christine had chosen the Phantom, so I decided to give this book a try. I am so glad I did. I thought I might stop after book 1, but at the end of the first books I wanted to hear more. Book 3 took a little longer to get through because it was sad to read what Erik endured. I'm glad I finished because it added important details to the story, making the ending that much more wonderful. I'm tempted to go through book 1 again with book 3 in mind. The narrator was extremely good. I loved that you could hear the voice inflections she intended when she wrote the book. Her narration made me love the character of Erik all the more. The only reason I didn't rate the narration 5 is because I could hear a bit of static a few times. I highly recommend this to anyone who loved Phantom but wished for a happy ending for Erik. This is a series I definitely won't forget.
