Having avenged his family’s brutal murders, the Phantom finds he is unable to put the terrible ordeal behind him. It seems the connections to those heartless killers are never ending. One by one those thugs keep cropping up, and he is forced to deal with them once again. The city of Chicago has learned to rely on their hero, and for a while the police left him alone to carry out justice for the people. Now he has acquired a companion known as Delilah, and the two of them are incomparable. During the span of a few short months, the duo has taken down the Mafia, destroyed rogue ninja who were hired as hit men, and still managed to rescue people from daily calamities. Yet the mayor is not satisfied with a vigilante carrying out justice for the citizens of his prominent city. Putting pressure on the police, and FBI Agent Brooke Carson, his attempts to arrest the man in black have failed. Nevertheless, the mayor did manage to create quite a few problems for the wealthy gentleman posing as Samuel Ferguson (aka the Phantom). Suddenly the city is faced with the ultimate of challenges. A group of terrorists is threatening to unleash a nuclear weapon capable of destroying the entire city. Their demands: one hundred million dollars! With time running out to locate the nuclear warhead missing from Russia, the mayor pays the ransom. But it doesn’t end there, and the Phantom is their best hope at stopping this terrible crisis from destroying millions of lives. Will he be able to do it? Or is this the end of the line for the man in black?
