Publisher's summary

Thirty-one strange, but true tales to make your flesh creep, to intrigue you, and to give you sleepless nights - all from the pen of Tom Slemen, one of England's top writers and researchers of all things supernatural.

Amongst the 31 tales, you will hear about the bizarre, but terrifying creature who terrorized people in Victorian times in Liverpool's Pellew Street. What was he? Man, beast, or some freak of nature hybrid?

And what about the eerie, deadly creatures who live alongside us in another dimension from which they pilfer our property and even kill and abduct people? Hear about their creepy activity in The Takers. Hear about the weird and sick possession cases that have been reported in churches of all places. And also hear about a new widely-reported phenomenon in which people have received cruel, damaging emails from the Devil himself.

More Strange & Freaky Tales

Tom Slemen is a superb story teller who is able to bring the tales to life. He has done extensive research and says these are true tales. This group does have some wild and fanciful stories. Whether you believe them or not, it does make interesting reading. A few tales in this book were out there, but still enjoyable reading. A good book, but I liked the Strange Mysteries and Beasts and Banshees books more. I still recommend it. Narrator was completely wrong for this book, as these types of books should be read by a Brit. The mispronunciations of many names is annoying. Fortunately, the great Nigel Peever handles all of the new editions.
