Publisher's summary

Amidst the ruins of a broken empire, a new warlord rises to power. The worlds in his path call for help...and the United Planets Alliance answers.

The Kenmiri Empire has fallen, broken against the might of the Vesheron rebels and the United Planets Space Force. The alliance between the Vesheron and the UPSF has collapsed in turn, leaving the former empire as worlds without governance or leaders.

Amidst the chaos, the UPSF has launched a valiant effort to reach out to the weak and protect the defenseless. As part of the Peacekeeper Initiative, Colonel Henry Wong leads the battlecruiser Raven deep into once-hostile territory.

There, an old ally has begun to forge a new empire from the old slave worlds. As starvation forces worlds to surrender, Henry prepares a desperate plan to bring food to the hungry - and defeat to those who conquer!

The Peacekeeper Initiative's first challenge

Henry Wong and Sylvia Todorovich face their first challenge as a peacekeeping force for the UPS in a cluster of five worlds in the Ra Sector. The former Kenmiri overlords organized their enslaved worlds into cluster of of 3 to 5 industrialized, and high polluted worlds, combined with a single agricultural world which served as the breadbasket for all of the cluster. Upon visiting an industrialized world near the outer UPS base at Zion, the Raven and crew learn that the Kozun have occupied the associated agricultural world and are now attempt to force the industrialized worlds under their control as well. Can all five worlds be united in defense of each other and throw off the yoke of their new overlords? Well writing book with a capable narrator that will easily capture your attention and take you "elsewhere".

Outstanding story and performance.

Oliver Wyman is an outstanding narrator here.
Henry is sent to make a trade deal with one world and ends up with 5 trade deals with a new alliance.

Good story/Great narrator

Glynn Stewart is a captivating storyteller. Oliver Wyman keeps me mesmerized. Even when the story gets technical, I' m still completely involved.

Surprisingly easy to follow

This series has been very engaging. The Narration really helps keep the story moving even though the language is pretty tech heavy. I’m looking forward to more.

pretty blah

almost listenable, a sprinkle of sci fi tech but not enough to make up for the shallow characters. out of place PC doesn't add or detract but it just hangs,. isn't relevant. well written just not a great storyline. could have been said in third the time. awesome narrator is the only reason I could finish.. the intro to psych 101 attempts also fall short
