Publisher's summary

Felicia Caldwell has a great job, a healthy bank account, and stunning good looks. But she longs for a husband and family to go along with them. So when charismatic superstar pastor Nya Hempstead declares that partnership is on its way, Felicia is elated - until her life becomes filled with more curses than blessings.

Five years later, someone has to pay - and that someone is Nya. Soon Felicia moves to Dallas and joins the church led by Nya and her copastor husband, Gregory. In the eyes of the public, Nya and Gregory have the perfect life. But their marriage is feeling the strain of Nya's success. While she's hitting the talk show circuit and the best-seller list, Gregory is fading into the background. It's no surprise he enjoys the fawning attention of new church member Felicia. Little does he know her intentions are far from pure. And as she infiltrates the pastors' lives, it will take a team of prayer warriors and heavenly intervention to save their relationship - and their ministry. Along the way, will they remember the mission they started with?

Great story line

The story line is great and very true to what happens behind the scenes in ministry. But honestly the voices/narrators were hard to hear. it wasn't the quality of the sound just more how they read. They'd start out strong and clear (loyd even) but by the end of the sentence they're almost at a whisper. The voice of Felicia (Lisa Smith) would whisper and mumble, annoyingly. So other than playing with the volume it was a good/OK listen.

Loved It

This was a really good book. I enjoyed it. I'm wondering if there's another book? The only issue I had was the pastor sounded like he was super old, 😆 🤣 😂, but great story!

Incredible Storyline

This was my first book by Tiffany L Warren. I became so engrossed in this book while reading it on the beach while vacationing, I had the worst sun burn ever. The story line was so intriguing and so well written, it had me rethinking my membership at my mega church. This story was engaging, thought provoking and thoroughly enjoyable. It needs to be a movie.

Loved it

Don't use Gods gifts for your own gain, but even Gods prophets fall short at times. This story is good, my only issue is the narrator who was reading the part of Felicia spoke so low at times I didn't understand a word she said and my volume was all the way up.

Great Book. Enjoyable.

Spoilers

At first I'm like Greg should do it to Nya. But after awhile Felicia became annoying. Because I knew that married man wasn't her blessing. Like come on now. That isn't a blessing at all. That's a freaking nightmare. Look at what she lost in the end. Smh. And getting back at Nya wasn't what she should've done because Nya was wrong for lying but no one told Felicia to mess around with a Married man like really girl. How dumb could you be. That's no blessing. When he step into her office I knew something was going to go wrong. Than the 2nd part of the book. When she got into their church to get back at Nya. Greg was so native lmao. Like really Greg smh you couldn't see what happen until after she walks into the sweat with that gun. Boy bye. I was telling my mom about this book. I'm like what he either look dumb or shock when Felicia true colors come to the light.

P. S. This book was really good I'm a fan of urban Christian fiction. Good read. Took me awhile to finish.

It picks up towards the end...

It's a good story. It starts off slow, but picks up towards the end. I would read the sequel.

Great Story! A great perspective on ministry

A great perspective on how ministry can go wrong fast...gives us a self-check that pastors and prophetesses are only human. We must remember that God is the ultimate voice to listen to!

We must respect the gifts God gives us...

This book was very well written. Every main characters' actions put them where they were, even though no one saw it for themselves. It was crazy that Felicia thought Lance was her blessing. It was apparent that she was unaware that God doesn't work that way. I also believe that Greg was very jealous of his wife's success, even though it really helped their ministry. His jealousy allowed his thoughts of Felicia to be clouded. Based on the ending, I sense a sequel coming.
