The most unpleasant character
Totally struggled to finish. The main character is so unpleasant with her sheer inability to be remotely polite and decent. I cannot believe Joe saw smth in her ever and I caught myself secretely cheering for her to fail.

Am I getting more mature...
... Or are the characters in Sophie Kinsella's books getting more stupid with every new book? This was rather unbearable and soooo slow..

Incredibly boring
I couldn’t return this because I’d hit the return limit so I persevered until the end but it was truly awful. No storyline to speak of, the main character was very unlikeable and it was first world problems at its best.

Very boring...
The main character hides under the table for most of the story and struggles to decide if she should get out during the party she crashed into...
Omg... I really struggled to finish it...
Not typical Sophie Kinsella's funny and engaging story...

Heartwarming
A beautiful story of love, soul connection, laying down roots and family. Really enjoyed this one, nice easy listen, very funny in places, quirky and upbeat. Brilliantly narrated. Five stars from me.

Another good read from Sophie
I love the narrator she is utterly engaging and perfect for this type of book. The story is just sweet and easy to listen to. The only thing missing for me is Sophie's humour coming through more. I missed that side to her. However, it's a good listen and I wasn't disappointed.

So DULL
I was so shocked by how boring this nothing story was. Honestly nothing happens and the timeline is basically one evening.
Considering there are so many good reviews I felt I needed to even things up a bit because I thought it was the most boring book I’ve listened to in a long time!

Slow start
I found this difficult to get into and nearly gave up. I found the characters quite annoying and the plot far fetched and predictable. However by half way through it got better and I managed to see it through. I think the main problem is that I didn’t like the narrator- I find her voice a bit whiney and too high pitched. Or maybe I have just grown out of Sophie Kinsella stories.

Easy read and heart warming
Being new to audible and wanted something I could zone out on whilst on a family holiday. This was a perfect book. So easy to listen too, I was hooked by the story, it was funny at times and I could relate to most of the story so just a warm and fuzzy book. The narrator was very good too. Will definitely download more of Sophie's books in the future.

Listened to it in 24 Hours 4🌟🌟🌟🌟
This book was like a nice cuppa tea ☕ and a warm hug. I love listening to Sophie Kinsella books but only the UNABRIDGED Versions. I loved listening to it and finished it within 24 hours.
I recommend this book and it was worth the credit.
Fiona Hardingham is a brilliant narrator! Chicklit at it's best.
I feel like 'Abridged' versions are the same as walking into a bookstore , taking a book, buying it, ripping the middle section out and then reading it! Abridged books should not be allowed.

Not great
I’m a huge fan of Sophie Kinsella, pretty much have read all her books. But this one was very….. vanilla. It was just meh, like an unfunny comedy you have to sit through during family movie night because you chose the movie and you’re too proud to admit it’s sh*t. Not much of a rom com, there’s a love interest but the relationship is like…. mash potatoes with no salt or butter. More of a family novel with an annoying dramatic youngest sibling as the main character. If I had to describe her in an image it would be a chihuahua wearing jeans. That’s my review.

Light hearted and very enjoyable
Fiona narrates this fun and enjoyable story in such a delightful way that I couldn’t wait to find time to listen to it.
Sophia creates characters that are always up to mischief and full of drama but I always have such a happy feeling as I listen to her books.
I think that this has been my favourite Sophia Kinsella Book and I always find them fun and lighthearted.

Awesome narration
Fiona Hardingham one of my favourite narrators!
A light story with a few laughs, but not much of a romance. A bit over the top in some parts.

Lame plot
Sophie is one of my favourite authors but this story is dire. The plot is so threadbare and lame . The middle of the book when `Effie is crashing the party is the best. But overall it is hard to care that the plot is based on a grown adult trying to find her childhood dolls .
