Despite its prime location in the heart of Luke's Gospel, the parable of the Shrewd Manager (also known as the parable of the Unjust Steward) is not popular. Many Christians are only even vaguely aware of its existence. While this is not an easy parable to understand, it is certainly worth the effort, because Jesus' teaching here is vital for anyone who considers themselves to be one of His followers.
