Publisher's summary

No more junk. Discover Susan´s minimalist hacks you'll love!

Did you know that:

  • The average person spends $2,700 a year on buying nonessential items in the US
  • The average woman will spend around $125,000 on clothes and accessories in a lifetime
  • The number of years most women will spend shopping over their lifetime is eight

What would you do if you had those extra eight years?

We are living in a world of abundance where advertisement and influencers tell us what and when to buy. The moment we feel the desire to buy something, we can instantly leave the house and get the thing around the corner. There is no time to consciously think and our brains just shut down.

It's no wonder studies have shown that there is a direct correlation between the number of possessions someone has and the amount of stress they experience, which means having more stuff leads to more anxiety.

Minimalism is the ultimate and easiest secret to simplify your life and get rid of all the worries you unconsciously created around your possessions.

If you want to be happy with less, scroll up, click “buy now“, and start living with less to make room for more.

Very insightful!

This a great book if you’re looking into or stepping into this new minimal lifestyle. It’s a great start to into getting ready to start living life with more meaning. It isn’t meant to depict specially what to do or how to do it. It’s meant to briefly describe how they themselves got started and how you can too. It is an easy listen and I think slightly insightful. This is a great book for taking notes and reflecting on how you might want to start your new journey.

Awesome Audiobook

Easy to listen, simple concepts that can make a big difference in someone's life. Thanks to following concepts of the book, we got rid of numerous items we haven't looked at in decades. We now reconsider our motivation to buy stuff. We focus on experiences more than cluttering the house with stuff.

can definitely tell why it was offered as bundle

First book was decent although nothing earth-shattering. I liked the ideas in general, but most was borrowed from other sources. it was an easy listen and definitely inspired me as I was cleaning up.

Second book the performance was choppy (kept repeating phrases--seemed like he was practicing different inflections), and although his voice was somewhat pleasant, it sounded robotic someone's and knowing it was a female author and hearing the other narrator for the first book, it was strange.

The content was repetitive as well (not just of the first book but within itself). It was a very preachy tone without much practical advice, it was like buying a diet/fitness book describing how great you were going to feel once you started the plan and all the health benefits and the advice was like "cut calories. Stop eating sweets. Don't skip breakfast. exercise more" but no true "hacks" or the HOW to do those things. I feel like the rationale of what living a minimalist lifestyle can offer is nice, but the title was misleading because what was said were not really hacks: the tips that were offered (that were good) were lifted directly from Marie Kondo's book (the author spends a whole chapter talking about how the Japanese are minimalists which again seemed irrelevant).

I would've been upset if I had gotten the second book by itself. As a bundle, it was okay but nothing novel.

good info

I love the content, but the male narrator left in many of his edits, so he repeats himself in multiple parts of the book. otherwise his narration is good.

Easy listen

This audio-book is such an easy listen. If you are practicing minimalism already or have spend a bit of time on blogs and searching the Internet- much of what this audio-book shares, you'll have already listen about. But its useful anyway because it pieces out the different areas of your life you might be looking to simplify and gives you real and practical tips to approach them. Its a good motivator or if you are brand new to minimalism- a great starting off point.
