Critic reviews

"This is a wonderful collection, so well done, I m continually amazed at how well BJ does the voices and the production is of the highest quality. The jeeves episodes are my favorites of all time, they make me laugh each time I listen to them time, which I do often. I can't recommend this collection and his work in general enough!" - Anthony G. "I have loved reading PG Wodehouse since I was a teen, and have never ever heard anyone interpret the zany hijinks and subtle sarcasm as well as BJ Harrison. There are nights I would try to fall asleep to his wonderful voice but the funny would keep me awake :) If you love the stories of Wodehouse, you will love how BJ brings them to life." - Dee "B. J. does a great job with all of the Wodehousian characters, male and female. I don't know how he does it, even mixing British and American accents when appropriate. Very entertaining and recommended to all of P. G.'s fans (which should be everbody who cares about great writing.)" - Grampaul

Fine introduction to P. G. Wodehouse

I see that some reviewers aren't too thrilled with B. J. Harrison's narration on the Jeeves stories, but I personally found it engaging, nicely capturing the charm and humor of the stories. Occasionally he makes Jeeves sound a bit robotic perhaps, but overall I thoroughly enjoyed Harrison's rendition.

The "collection" seems quite random, with a smattering of Jeeves stories interlaced with other short stories and one novelette, and capped by the full-length novel, "Right Ho, Jeeves."

At the price, a great value for many hours of fun listening. British humor at its very best.

B.J. Harrison has ruine me for any other narrator!

Where does The P.G. Wodehouse Collection rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I'm rating this collection high up among many I've enjoyed.

What did you like best about this story?
I love the wit and the brilliant delivery by the narrator.

Which scene was your favorite?
No one scene.

Any additional comments?
As I stated in my review, BJ Harrison has ruined me for any other when it comes to P.G. Woodhouse. Nobody does it better. Sadly he's only undertaken two thus far. I hope there will be more.

Great Narrator!

I always found P.G. Wodehouse hard to get through because the writing was old fashioned and hard to visualize. But B.J. Harrison brought it to life! Such a wonderful narrator!

Great presentation of a master author

In his own whimsical universe’s parlance, Wodehouse “stands alone.”Harrison’s presentation of this master of finely-pressed mischief is excellent.

Could not be better.

I listened to this through headphones at the office & found myself chuckling in my cubical.
I took it on a road trip with the familly and was pleased to hear
elementary girls, high school boys and the grandparents all laugh out loud
at the antics portrayed in the voice of B. J . Harrison.
There is nothing I would improve.
Definitely worth the price!

Excellent Reading, very entertaining

Best narrator in Audible for PG Wodehouse. The presentation of all the characters were great. The jeeves books were the best. Bertie Wooster is presented as affable yet clueless, and jeeves is presented perfectly.
PG Wodehouse is an excellent humorist and the Jeeves books are my favorite.

Bertie saved by Nerves again

The little short stories were just to warm you up for the weekend in the country. I have a long drive everyday & I laughed so hard.

Simply fabulous!

BJ Harrison is the quintessential narrator for Bertie, Jeeves, and the lot! Combined with the terrific Wodehouse wit, you'll not find a better romp through British humor. I am a huge Wodehouse fan, and read this collection years ago, as well as enjoyed the BBC series, and I have to say I enjoyed this reading every bit as much as those other mediums. I HIGHLY recommend this!

reader's voice doesn't quit fit

I love P.G. Wodehouse. I have many of his books and stories written and on audio. The reader has a good voice but doesn't quit fit. He does a good job with the characterizing Jeeves. Bertie is written as a person who enjoys life. He is not unintelligent. He has a simplistic view of life. This causes him to not anticipate troubles or make them worse. Jeeves must get him out of these situations. The reader makes him sound flat and uninteresting.I found myself wanting to skip ahead in the non Jeeves and Bertie stories. These were flat and boring. I found that sad because some of these stories, I hadn't heard on audio before.

Bertie...from Buffalo?

When a Wodehouse reader can't pronounce "Chiswick" correctly, you're going to be disappointed.
It's "Chizik.
