Good But Lacking Clarity
This book was unusual as one of the protagonists was an angel; however, while listening to the audiobook I couldn't decide if the author was intending for this book to be a family story or a fantasy adventure. There were some good descriptions of fight scenes, but I felt the interaction between the protagonists was less than the interaction between other characters in the story. I realize that this book was written for younger readers and that might be why the story was lacking direction for me. It could also be because this was book 10 in the series and I haven't read any of the other books. Kelly Water's narration was fine. Her voice was pleasant; however, the pauses at the end of the sentences were often overlong and I felt like I was being read to as if I was a child. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.
