Publisher's summary

Re-Release! Now includes the original short story ‘All That Strength Couldn’t Give.’

The first time Eric jumped, he didn’t know he could fly.

His world closed in as he stood on the bridge, a stale cigarette between his lips and breath that burned with the sour notes of yesterday’s coffee. The rushing water below was the chaotic calm that he needed, and he let charred memories crumble to ash and embers as his feet left the railing.

Eric had no idea that one leap would introduce him to Dr. Kovacs, and an entirely new world; an entirely new beginning. Now, Eric works with a team as worn and beaten as himself to solve the mystery of the Executioner who hunts those like him, all while mending his old wounds.

When Eric jumped, he didn’t know he could fly, but he does now.

The Ones Who Could Do Anything is a dark urban fantasy take on the modern superhero genre, complete with compelling, fractured characters blooming with new powers. For fans of Invincible, The Boys, and Chronicle.

thrilling and amazing twists, must read/listen!

the writing is so descriptive you can taste and smell what is occurring as it's being read. the reader made sure to capture every characters personalities through his voice with such precision. over all great book and will be looking into more by this writer and reader.

plot holes wide enough to drive a truck through

So, this story started out decently and collapsed into a hot pile of garbage by the end.

1) Inconsistent powers
2) Does no one use guns?
3) Characters in this autobiography can cuss, but they can't use contractions!?
4) Plot holes, so many plot holes.
5) There is character "development," but only as that which can be imagined by a teenager.

I would say that this is just a YA thing, but it is just a poorly written book. It is a kind of wannabe edgy take on urban fantasy that fails to properly build a world.
