Publisher's summary

Barren, unwanted - a lot of omegas would have given up. But not Holland. Tired of living down to others' opinions, he reaches for something more and seduces the new alpha, only to fall so far in love he can’t see the moon for the trees.

Quin’s ghosts won’t leave him alone. He lives like a ghost himself, but Holland’s shining light gives him courage to reach for healing and, maybe, a family. Except, Holland has his own unhealed wounds, and he refuses to mate, until disaster in another pack reminds them both how fragile life can be.

From that disaster arises a new determination, and Quin and Holland set out to change their world. And through it all, the secret of the true omega begins to unveil itself, bringing hope and fear in its wake.

This story is full of love and family, disaster and triumph.

Thoroughly Enjoyable

I love this series and, although it is not the first in the series it is my favorite so I purchased the audible. I was NOT disappointed!! I will listen to this recording as often as I reread the books. I would recommend this book to everyone.

Very long but Nick makes it worth it

This is another great addition to the series. Holland was rejected for being barren – but… he’s still got loads to offer and Quin’s damage allows him to “need” someone just enough to get over the Alpha nonsense.

The story is long and involved and as usual I think could use some stiff editing, but it’s still very enjoyable and a must for anyone who loves mpreg, shifters, the author and this series.

Nick J Russo narrates this series, and honestly , if it wasn’t him, I’m not sure I’d be able to listen to hours and hours of this series. I enjoy his voice so much that I get lost in the story again and am not tempted to just skim ahead.

Recommended.

Beautifully Told Story

This is a long story, and a continuation of the Mercy Hills Pack. While the story is complete, the author will leave you with a craving for more Mercy Hills.

A firestorm rages through Greenmoon's enclosure. Because of the laws, the gates remained locked, no one could leave, and the fire trucks were forced to remain outside of the gates until the fire burnt down. One third of the pack died as a result of the fire.

Mercy Hills pack, with help from other packs, race to Greenmoon to offer aid. The story also follows the romance of Omega Holland, and Alpha Quinn. They work together to reduce prejudice, support the grieving families and orphans of Greenmoon, as well as begin a tentative relationship with humans outside of the enclosure walls.

The characters are strong, compassionate, firm, and have you weeping in delight with their overwhelming humanity, no matter what form they may be in, shifter or human.

The complexities of the story could not be so vividly brought forth without the understanding of the characters and situations by the extremely talented narrator, Nick J Russo. Bravo!

Entertaining

I would definitely recommend this series and this book. Quinn and Holland story is so touching. They end up going through a lot of stuff that only makes them stronger.

Nick J Russo does an excellent job narrating.

Interesting listen

I love the world that this author created. I do not like the predicament that they are put into by outside forces but it adds to the storyline. Narration is fantastic.
