Pretty Good

What made the experience of listening to The Old Motel Mystery the most enjoyable?

I really loved the plot line. Up until the very end I was at the edge of my feet wondering who did it.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Old Motel Mystery?

When the oranges ended up in the pool. I couldn't think of something more silly, also how the book was slightly educational.

Which scene was your favorite?

When the oranges ended up in the pool.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book made me laugh, another amazing book in the boxcar children series.

Any additional comments?

I usually enjoy the boxcar children books some of them I want to listen to over and over again while I'm satisfied with just a few listens. I have to say I really love this book.

Short, Sweet and a Classic Tale

It was an absolutely new adventure for the boxcar children bringing the classic children from the first novel into a whole new mind set. It was very sweet and wonderful.

Great mystery plot well developed 1 small issue

There is a spoiler in the last paragraph of my review. Unlike some of the boxcar mysteries this kept us guessing until the end. We liked that there were 3 suspects.
Stop reading here if you don’t want to know what happens.
My daughter wanted to give this five stars. I’m going with four because I felt like the master mind of the plot, the greedy corporate hotel villain should have met with more Justice than just paying for his vandalism. Perhaps Millicent should worn a wire and busted him. But, in a way it may be a realistic lesson for our times. The rich CEOs with good lawyers always escape justice and the small fries take the wrap.

The Old Hotel Mystery

This definitely is not my first pick but is still good for little kids 8 and under.
