The Old Amish Diary

When Katie was young she had no friends, and was bullied by the other children. Katie was a sickly child. John, an older boy, befriended her and included her in his games. From the age of 10, Katie had decided that she was to marry John, but couldn't bring herself to be in his presence and hid when she saw him.

One day, by chance she met John and embarrassingly she passed out in his arms. From speaking that day and reading her grandmother's diary, she gained the courage to go and visit him. Their relationship blossomed.

Could she build the confidence to make a relationship work? Would he be interested in her? Would her father allow her to marry a man whose father had done wrong to his best friend?
