“You saved us,” Lim said with the simple faith of the true believer. “Those on the outside just can’t see it yet.”

The aliens known as the Phants have settled in and show no signs of leaving anytime soon—which is to say, never. Inside their protective domes, they are secure from the barbarians without. As the remaining humans scrabble for existence outside the dome walls, the occupiers live in pampered splendor.

Lim 127, once Elena, has been altered by the Phants—chipped and conditioned—to make her safe. A young brain is a pliable brain. Taken at the tender age of six, Lim has lived ever since as a menial inside the Salesh dome. Now she adores the Phants and lives only to serve them. She barely remembers who she was before, nor does she care. She is perfectly content to live out her days in service to her masters...if only the humans on the outside would stop messing around with everything.

Great Read

This book and the series as a whole are truly beyond my ability to adequately praise. The prose is exceptionally crafted, and the narrative is so compelling that it remains consistently engaging throughout. I hope this series can be made into a movie
