🎙 Podcast Episode 566: "The Thing You're Hiding Behind: From Rock Bottom to Real Integrity" What happens when the dream becomes a nightmare? When your "perfect life" crashes, and all your unchecked weaknesses catch up? In this raw, unfiltered episode of The No Comfort Zone™, host Dan Brzozowski shares the turning point that changed everything—passing out at the airport, getting kicked out of rehab on day 25, and realizing he was hiding behind the one thing he was good at: sales. Dan unpacks the pain, the detox, and the loss of everything… but more importantly, how that adversity became the foundation of his second chance. He shares the brutal truth of how success without integrity is hollow—and how getting radically honest with yourself is the only path to real power. If you've ever felt like you're faking it, stuck hiding behind a title, a paycheck, or a talent while your life is spiraling—this episode will shake you. Get ready to face yourself, step into truth, and take action. Because your comeback starts the moment you stop lying to yourself. I just recently have started listening to this podcast...say...maybe for four months on a regular basis. I thoroughly enjoy it, because it DOES get me motivated, it DOES cause me to take personal inventory of myself as a person. a friend, a parent, a partner, and an entrepreneur.

However, I can also say that for me, this is a refresher course. See, I had the opportunity to meet Dan shortly after I relocated to a new part of the country where I literally knew no one other than my children and ex wife. I had worked in the auto industry down south, and had worked my way up through the ranks to a pretty desirable and very well paying position. However, my ex wife moved to a new area, and took my kids with her. I tried to deal with it, but ultimately that was relatively short lived, and I relocated. I drove around the city and went to every dealership. Didn't interact with a soul...just drove through and observed. after that, I decided where I wanted to work. I called and asked for the hiring manager for the European car division. The man who took the call was Dan. I introduced myself, told him who I was, why I was there, what my credentials were, and that I had selected his store ad the place I wanted to work. I then asked if he had an open position. He said "no, but I really want to talk to you. when can you be here?". I replied that I was in the parking lot across the street and could be there in two minutes.

This was the beginning of my relationship with Dan. Immediately I liked his energy, his attitude, and his insight. He always made time for customers, as well as his sales people. He was very visibly a LEADER and not a BOSS. The principals he expands upon, and his offers to help YOU build YOUR plan and path are genuine, this I can tell you for sure.

Though I am no longer in the industry, I still enjoy listening to Dan, as it gets me pumped up and puts me back on track. I promise you that he can and will do the same for you. In fact, it was through learnings I acquired from our relationship, that I developed the desire, courage, and passion to start my own business. If it weren't for the things I had learned from Dan, and the encouragement of my two partners, I would never have given myself the opportunity to get to the place where I am today.

I give this podcast, and Dan himself, the highest recommendation possible.

p.s. - you will probably see me post this review on other platforms. I'm not a shill or a bot...I just know Dan personally and think he is a wonderful leader

Dan is 100% the real deal. A true leader.
