Midnight in Savannah...

It’s a city of beauty, history…hauntings. And one of the most haunted places in Savannah is a tavern called The Dragonslayer, built in the 1750s. The current owner, Gus Anderson, is a descendant of the original innkeeper and his pirate brother, Blue.

Gus summons his granddaughter, Abigail, home from Virginia, where she’s studying at the FBI Academy. When she arrives, she’s devastated to find him dead. Murdered. But Abby soon learns that Gus isn’t the only one to meet a brutal and untimely end; there’ve been at least two other victims. Then Captain Blue Anderson starts making ghostly appearances, and the FBI’s paranormal investigation unit, the Krewe of Hunters, sends in Agent Malachi Gordon.

Abby and Malachi have a similar ability to connect with the dead…and a similar stubbornness. Sparks immediately begin to fly - sparks of attraction and discord. But as the death toll rises, they have to trust each other or they, too, might find themselves among the dead haunting old Savannah!

Love, love,love Graham’s Krewe stories!

However, while the narrator’s natural voice is pleasant, most of the other voices grate on the nerves. His interpretation of the dialogue of several characters is overly dramatic and not at all the way I interpret Graham’s writings when reading the printed work.

Fantastic book

This was a great book that kept me guessing until the very end. The narrator did a great job with all of the different characters. I will definitely be buying the next book in the series. Hopefully the same narrator is used again.

Decent story, mediocre narration

I figured out "who done it" way before the end. There were some spots that would drag, but not a bad book. I usually enjoy Luke Daniels however his "southern accents" in this one were bordering on annoying. (Example: "sityeation" for situation...a bit overdone for the character.), even if he was from Virginia)

Love Luke Daniels!

Krewe of Hunters is wonderful, I'm on my 3rd or 4th listen. Luke Daniels brings all of the characters to life as an actor. Heather made them real in her books!

Well rounded story and performance

One of Graham's better books with solid performance from Luke Daniels. I figured the killer when they first announced tap, tap, given the character description half way through. The fight scene was enjoyable and I enjoyed the plausible ending. 5 out 5 all the way through, thank you Heather for another enjoyable book.

Slow start but a great ending!

I struggled getting engaged in this book and started to return it but I am so glad I stuck it out. It finally picked up speed and I loved the ending!

Not great

The narration was horrible throughout and the story felt like a rinse and repeat of the previous books. The narrator made the characters feel like cartoons characters.

Ok book

Overall the book was good. I think there could have been less details on the history and more on what the killers motives were etc. Luke Daniels' performance was good but some of his characters sounded waaayyyy off. Malachi sounded like an old man at times and some of the old men sounded younger... The agent Will Chan sounded huskier and had an accent showing he's from Trinidad in one of the other books and in this he sounds like he's a high school kid.
