Publisher's summary

To win the woman destined to be his bride...

Catherine Depford is the wealthiest heiress in London, and she is all but promised to a proper English lord...so why is she having dreams of a Scottish warrior claiming her for his own? She can't imagine that her heated fantasies would come true, until she locks eyes with the stranger of her dreams in a crowded ballroom.

A Scotsman will do anything.

Highland chief Gabriel MacBraedon has come to London in search of Catherine, the woman an ancient curse dictates to be his bride. But he can't very well sweep the English beauty into his arms and carry her off to Scotland in the dead of night. Or can he? Nothing is impossible when a Scotsman's passion is making the rules.

great listen

beautifully read if not flat where the humor was intended. The narrator's scottish accent was perfect for a scottish romance

Love it

It had the right amount of action without going on circles until you are bored and want the book to end. I loved the story and the characters. I enjoyed too much

Basic story was ok

I liked the basics of the story but it failed to draw me INTO the story. There were parts that were so contrived, like a bad actor. It just ruined the plot of the story and the characters kind of fell apart.
So I am not certain if it is the fault of the author, or the rewriter, but I do believe a rewrite is in order. Debra, you have a great story line, you just have to work out some bugs.
Caroline, I am very impressed with your work on voices, accents, and characterization. Kudos 👍🏻to you.

romance and a curse all in one....

I liked this story. when I read the summary I wasn't sure but the characters pull you into the story and the curse sub-story line intertwined with the love story keeps it interesting. a must read.

Good story. Great narration. The accent and voices were spot on. Will listen to more by this author.

Wonderful! <sigh>

THIS is a love story! Filled with romance, humor, tension, old world magic and sensual private moments. Kidos to the author for superb writing skills that made me feel every emotion and fall hopelessly in love with th3 characters.

Even though the narration was hard to understand at times, I am tucking this one into my favorites folder!

Great story

I was hooked till the end. That's rare now with all the romances I read. Definitely recommend.

Night before?

Ok, so the name is not exactly correct.... and.... there are some mixed up series of events (or of emotions and realizations) that a good editor should have caught.... and no one listened when I scolded them.... and maybe the narration wasn't quite comfortable.... but this was still good entertainment! I truly enjoy Debra Mullins, and liked the use of a curse driving the story.
I'd buy it again.

The Night Before the Wedding

A well written and well narrated story of curses, betrayal, suspicion, dreams and eventual romance. Thus is my first time reading Debra Mullins I believe and the first for Caroline Guthrie (Narrator) also. I very much enjoyed this relatively short audiobook as I was working at home today. I don't could to give away the story too much, but just so you know, there is the magic if Scotland, behaviors influenced by a previously unknown curse, and A Highland Laird looking for his intended mate. She just happened to have been born in England due to her mother's disbelief in the curse. Excitement and action weave through the lives of the well developed, likeable characters. Easy to recommend! ❤

Worth staying up for

I stayed up until 2:00 a.m. listening to this story. It was really enjoyable and just what I was looking for to get away from all the strife that is going on right now. The narrator was wonderful and I am hoping Ms. Mullins has written many more like this. A bit too much graphic sex for my taste but that's something I can skip to get back to the story.
