NOT the Actual Story

My kids and I purchased hoping to hear one of our favorite books read aloud with a few songs intertwined. Not at all what we received. A strange concoction of loosely related music (maybe era pieces, can’t tell) and. None of the good stuff associated with clement c Moores original.

weaker of the Rabbit Ears audios

My children and I have loved the Rabbit Ears series for years. This is one of the weaker ones - it is very light on the "story" and mostly Christmas music. I'm not unhappy to have it but it isn't up to the usual caliber of their usual offerings - short stories with famous narrators, usually ideal for little ones to fall asleep to.

if you can get it on sale and your family loves Christmas music, it might be fine. I would invest in other Rabbit Ears audios first.

Too frustrating

The first 10 minutes is Christmas music, and maybe 4 lines from the narrator. The story was overwhelmed by the music. Returned it.

What is this?

Too much bad music included... half way through I decided I had come this far, might as well see it through. Pretty bad arrangement.

Review

Horrible the intro music is entirely way too long. I wouldn't purchase this. Please. Do not

Could’ve used less music

Music felt the need to outshine the great Meryl Streep. The music is the reason for 3 stars.

This audiobook: Wack

Basically just music.

Weak AF.

I need to pad this review to at least 15 words. This is also wack.

I kind of liked the music

So, I know that I might be in the minority with this opinion, but I liked the music before the story, I found it very soothing to listen to before bed (even as an adult). I suppose it is all a matter of personal preference.

Aside from the music, Meryl Streep did an excellent job narrating this Christmas classic.

I would recommend this audiobook, especially if you like Christmas music, or you are looking for something short and calming to listen to.

if you want music yes if you want a story no

Musically it was probably a five-star performance. But that's not what I was wanting. I wanted a Christmas story read by Meryl Streep and there wasn't much story! I love her voice! as far as Meryl Streep's performance it was five star. Just not enough story. I want story.

Excellent!

My daughter really enjoys this book. She loves the music with the reading. She has listened multiple times and loves to fall asleep to it! She highly recommends it to other children!
