Repetitive

I'm a big fan of Brian Tracy, and if this was the first time I listened to him I'd easily give it 5 starts. And if you've never listened to him before, you'll find a goldmine in this book, or any one of his other books.

But there's really no need to buy more than one, because he really just says the same things in a different way. He prides himself on writing 4 books a year, but really he's just re-writing 1 book over and over again.

In a book on success he might say that successful people do "X" (fill in the blank). Then in a book on goals he'll say that you need to set a goal to accomplish "X". Then in a book on self discipline he'll say that you need to discipline yourself to do "X"

Same message, slightly different delivery, so 3 stars because I've heard this before and wasted my money, but 5 stars for his material as a whole.

Just what I needed to start the year off right!

22 years ago I listened to
the Psychology of Achievement and learned some very valuable lessons to which I attribute the success I've had so far in my career and personal life. I found the New Psychology of Achievement when I was trying to decide whether to get a Master's degree or float through the next 10 years to retirement with my current level of responsibility and pay. I wasn't sure if I had time to go to graduate school while working and taking care of my family. Now I know I can and should do what it takes to realize my full potential and earning power. I'll probably listen to the book at least every few months to keep myself at this super high level of motivation. Thank you, Brian Tracy!

Life changing as always

The reason why not 5 stars overall is that many information is repetition of others Brian's books. And not much new info. But worth reading absolutely.
And if it your first book definitely must read.

Good but not great.

There is much practical wisdom in THE NEW PSYCHOLOGY OF ACHIEVEMENT but this is not BRIAN TRACY'S best work. I personally enjoyed MAXIMUM ACHIEVEMENT, THE UNIVERSAL LAWS OF SUCCESS AND ACHIEVEMENT and THE ULTIMATE GOALS PROGRAM much more. Most of the information and insights found on this audiobook can be found on those 3 other audiobooks along with even more practical wisdom on the other 3 works. I personally feel that THE NEW PSYCHOLOGY OF ACHIEVEMENT is more suitable for those who are going to listen to a Brian Tracy audiobook for the 1st time. THE NEW PSYCHOLOGY OF ACHIEVEMENT is a great introduction to one of the greatest Personal Development and Human Potential Coaches of all time.

My uncle recommended this program to me to help me get started on achieving my dreams of financial independence and success. This program was one of his first steps to becoming the multi-billionaire he is today.

A book of golden nuggets!

Brian Tracy has a wealth of knowledge. He always manages to compile life changing lessons that concisely cover the areas of health, wealth, love and happiness all in one book without straying away from the main subject of financial/ professional success.

Great info, a bit sexist

A must read for graduates and young people. For older people, it is more of a reminder and does still make you reflect on the key part of your life.
The bit that needs updating is where he stereotypes women "who need to talk about their feelings" and are great at multitasking, while "men can only do one thing at a time and don't want to speak after work."
