Publisher's summary

At the gates between worlds. In a war outside of time. They fight for us.

The man they took prisoner was not the Jonathan Tibbs they remembered. He said that time was running out. That the world faced an enemy it could not defeat. He said everything depended on whether or not they could make a leap of faith.

Then, he asked them for five nuclear warheads.

The Never Army is the final installment in The Chronicles of Jonathan Tibbs - a mind-bending, genre-crossing, multiple award-winning, action-adventure trilogy.

The Chronicles of Jonathan Tibbs has sold over 50,000 copies worldwide and garnered over 5,000 five-star reviews on Amazon, Audible, and Goodreads.

Fantastic

I've loved this series since book one, and as melancholic as it is for the journey to end, it did so beautifully. I can't recommend this series enough, and I eagerly await T. Ellery Hodges next book.

This book includes:
- More of The Never
- More Fighting
- More secret government agencies
- Love
- Friendship
- Alien fights
- Hope
- and most importantly resolution.

It's about the journey, not the destination, and what a journey it has been.

stuck on the edge of my seat the entire time

this book is so unlike the first two but I enjoyed it so much and I finally got to see information that I was really curious about I honestly can't wait to see what happens in his next series

A somewhere between good and great conclusion to the Jonathan Tibbs chronicles

There were some parts of this book that I really enjoyed and had me chuckling or really eager to see what happens next (not gonna get into spoilers though). Also other parts that were lost on me or that I didn’t care for or found boring.

I will say this book contains sexual themes/ suggestive language. Probably not super appropriate for those under 16, but what do I know.
It’s not super in your face about it but it’s somewhat relevant to the plot, a bit weird and off-putting at times, but staying within reasonable limits (it’s not super gross or misogynistic or anything like that, at least in my opinion)

Somewhat interesting and unique plot playing with the Groundhog Day mechanic of The Never. How someone might use it to their tactical advantage.

Like the other books it was a bit complicated and hard to follow at times (especially on the first read/listen)
There were some reasons/explanations that I didn’t exactly think made a ton of sense but I was able to suspend my disbelief.
While the Ferrox fights were interesting at first it got a little less interesting as the 3rd book progressed, but it maintained my attention for the most part.

The final conclusion/twist I don’t think I predicted so that is a nice point in favor of the book and writing. The analogy with religion at the end was sort of lost on me, but I do at least understand (for the most part) the significance of the big choice that Jonathan made at the end and I was satisfied with the note that the story ended on overall.

In comparison the Maze Runner series had just the most awful and unfulfilling ending imaginable.

On the other end of the spectrum I was incredibly satisfied with how the Super Powereds series ended.

I’d put this series ending about 75- 80% towards the Super Powereds side.

Overall a pretty great series and I don’t regret reading/listening

Steven Barnett also does a pretty great job with all the different voices and accents. Very talented.

I’d put book 1 and 2 at 9/10 and book 3 at 8/10. Series is a 8.5/10

Most uniquely original story in a while

I fell in love with the Jonathan Tibbs series shortly after the first book was released. I couldn’t wait for each of the next two books to drop. This is one of my favorites for twisted and turning time bending and complicated stories. Well executed in my estimation for story/plot and I like the narration

A satisfying end to the trilogy.

If you've followed the story this far, I doubt you need me to explain why you should finish it. If you haven't, go back and read the first two books. They are well worth it in their own rite. And rest assured that this story's conclusion will not leave you wanting anything but more.

One of the Best Series Ever Listened to

Fantastic! I loved this series so much and this book was a wonderful finish to it. I couldn’t stop listening to it. It made me laugh out loud, cry, and want to jump into the story myself. So grateful for Hodges writing style. There was no embarrassing sex scenes, no f-bombs, and the fighting was artfully done. The wit, pacing, and character development made every minute count. A must listen!

Fantastic end to this trilogy

The first two books were good, but this final book is GREAT! It covers so much back story and multiple plot lines and it entertaining right up through the finale. Highly recommended!
