Unique and engaging

I loved this book. It kept me engaged and focused, my mind did not wonder to other thoughts, because I was constantly interested in what would happen next.

Good entertainment. Gave me a thing or two to think about.

This was fun. The story started off a little slow, but picked up quickly and kept a good pace throughout. The characters are great, a lot of variety and a good range of believable personalities. And the narrator does a pretty good job with voice interpretations. My favorites are the cat and the priests! But I don’t want to spoil for anyone, so I won’t write more.
The story definitely kept me guessing and I was hooked. Couldn’t turn it off.
I liked the different twists and perspectives when I least expected them.
Generally I recommend!
Oh, also, the narrator is really good. Took me a moment to get used to him, but his characters are just very good.

The split timeline was handled very well and I quite liked the ending.

Secrets abound and only time will tell the ultimate end of this story.

The author, Anna Abgarowicz carefully weaves a curse-filled story of magic and loss, the strong belief in Egyptian gods and fate. The story is complex with layers, but well detailed allowing the listener to follow along easily. Character development is thorough and well-done. Dialogue is authentic sounding and properly reactive. Just when the listener thinks they know where the story is headed, Abgarowicz throws in a plot twist that makes the listener rethink the storyline. Moving between the different storylines is done effortlessly.

The narrator, Saethon Williams provides an authentic performance. Each character was well performed with a rich voice and personality appropriate to their situation. He spoke clearly and his delivery was smooth.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the emotional tug this book will pull from the listener. There were no issues with the quality or production of this audiobook, it was well done.

come for the mummy resurrection and doomed love, stay for the side characters. the ending is rushed, but most of the story moves along well.
