A group of friends encounter deadly creatures in Europe and their pleasant vacation quickly turns into terror as they frantically struggle to stay alive, leading to a horrific discovery in the depths of an abandoned military base. What follows is not only a fight for survival, but a struggle to maintain humanity in a world where humans are on the brink of extinction.

Former Army grunt Jonah Browne was vacationing in Germany years ago when the Molting began. Today, he’s a man tempered by his determination to keep his family safe from Molters, spending every waking moment defending against the bloodthirsty creatures.

Molterpocalypse (book three)

The survivors call it the Molting. It spread across the planet faster than anyone could anticipate, turning people into bloodthirsty creatures, abominations of nature. Now, Molters swarm every landscape, hunting the few remaining humans.

Couldn’t finish it...

I tried but I just couldn’t finish it. The characters are well designed but the story just didn’t do it for me. Maybe it’s just me though. Some parts of it were good but most of it wasn’t interesting.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review

OMG what an adventure!

When Jonah and his friends visit the village in Germany where are you live there vacation quickly towards to a horror filled life and death struggle. There is too much in these books to give a brief summary so I would just say if you like to read about the collapsing of civil all society into chaos in life and death struggles you’re going to love this book. I don’t even like that and I loved it! I highly recommend that’s even if you think it may not be your cup of tea trust me it wasn’t mine either and as I said I couldn’t stop listening.

"Sometimes, hope was only a fantasy.'

A three volume anthology comprising the complete Molters serjes: The Molters, Being Hunted, and Molterpocalypse. Sucked into this horrifying world by book one, in which the reader first encounters both the Molters and ex military man, Jonah, the desire to continue reading was very powerful, and the beginning of book two, Being Hunted, was no less dramatic, pulling the reader fully back into a world turned up side down. Still exciting, still packed with action, discovery and gore, this reader, however, became increasingly irritated by the inner monologues of lead character, Jonah, which comprised much of the second half of this section and of the final book, Molterpocalypse.
Throughout, narration by David Drummond is good, matching both text and the personality of Jonah, as well as giving voices to the numerous other characters. A fine performance.

Without wishing to leave spoilers, little more can be said, other than this is still an intriguingly different apocalyptic thriller to most others and, despite my reservations about the lead character's general internal obsessing, well worth reading if action, slaughter and gore rate is part of your enjoyment in an horror thriller. My thanks to the rights holder of The Molting, books 1-3, who, at my request freely gifted me with a complimentary copy via Audiobook Boom.
