In the merriest town on earth, my plot to win back my ex has run into a serious problem.

The plan is simple. All I have to do is stalk my ex-fiancé, ‘accidentally’ bump into him in this Christmas-obsessed town he’s moved to, and – bam! - he’ll regret dumping me and beg me to take him back.

Problem number 1: He’s got a girlfriend. A sweet, adorable woman.

New plan: Find someone to lure my ex’s girlfriend away so I can step in and win him back.

Problem number 2: The gorgeous, grumpy man I’ve just asked to distract the girlfriend is storming over to my ex with a murderous expression.

It’s possible I didn’t do enough research before I enacted this plan.

Now, I’ve got to convince my ex I’ve changed, avoid freezing to death in this snowy town, and not fall in love with the grumpy man who’s agreed to help me.

I’ve failed at everything else I’ve ever tried. What could go wrong this time?

Horrible narration

Good story but the AI narration took away from it. It was stiff and awkward places

Tenacity of the main character

Admire the story focus on characters growth. There wss a mix of self depreciating immature 'practical' choices that life experiences taught characters were the best options available. And then evolution of developmenting appreciation of positive self worth.

I’m never happy about virtual voice!

Ugh the virtual voice basically ruins a book for me although the story line was decent but I wasn’t in the mood for the smut. Not my cup of tea today. 😿

Not a fan of virtual voice

I couldn’t listen to this. It’s the first time I’ve tried to listen to a virtual voice book. I couldn’t do it. The inflection was wrong. Some of the words were mispronounced and I missed the way a voice actor changes the voices to show different characters. This is important to me since I’m listening, not reading.
I skipped to the end to find out the resolution. I won’t listen to another virtual voice.

Toxic FMC with Bad narration

Unfortunately I have to agree about the narration. I'm not apposed to someday there being good AI narration but today wasn't that day. Though there is some inflection the sound is still robotic. The storyline seems doomed from the beginning... a woman hung up on a man for 2 years after he broke up, cut all ties and correspondence and moved away to a secret location 😳 can ypu say staker. She lies and manipulates and bases real-life on the template of a romance novel? Gotta want the FMC to seek professional help. The problem is that I couldn't get to that point in the book because of the narration. maybe I can pick up the k7ndlw version at a later date.
