Publisher's Summary

You love your family. They make you feel safe. You trust them.

But should you?

When 15-year-old Billy Wilkinson goes missing in the middle of the night, his mother, Claire, blames herself. She's not the only one. There isn't a single member of Billy's family who doesn't feel guilty. But the Wilkinsons are so used to keeping secrets from one another that it isn't until six months later, after an appeal for information goes horribly wrong, that the truth begins to surface.

Claire is sure of two things: that Billy is still alive and that her friends and family had nothing to do with his disappearance.

A mother's instinct is never wrong. Or is it?

Critic Reviews

" The Missing has a delicious sense of foreboding from the first page, luring us into the heart of a family with terrible secrets and making us wait, with pounding hearts for the final, agonizing twist. Loved it." (Fiona Barton, author of The Widow)
"I was grabbed by this book from the first page and read the ending with an open mouth. I wish I could unread it so that I could go back and discover it again. Brilliant!" (Angela Marsons, author of Silent Scream)

could not stoo listening

I bought this souley due to the narrator if i m being honest. I find her easy to listen to and she brings characters to life. She did not dissapoint and neither did the story.
When I first started to listen I found the text dialogues a bit irratating however they were pivotal to this story which was a real who dunnit.
i finished in two sittings. I literally couldn't stop listening.

Amazing twists and turns in plot

I purchased on audio so i could enjoy this novel whilst walking my dog. Wow! I was gripped from the beginning. I just had to keep nipping out for long indulgent dog walks to hear the next thrilling section. 5* awarded.

Gradually Gained Pace - Good Book

A slightly slow start as the characters were built, but a good book told mainly from the mother's perspective.
A gripping story, which unfolds to expose deception and tragedy. I could not stop listening and will look for more from this author in future.
Good narration kept the characters clear and pace of story flowing.
