This is a public domain recording!

This 'publisher' is packaging and selling Librivox recordings without acknowledging the source.

In this case the recording is reasonable, but it is a dishonest business that Audible should shut down.

Entertaining, not yet a convert.

I have to admit that I was late to the Kafka party. I am a big fan of Haruki Murakami; it's quite obvious that he has been influenced by Kafka, so I thought that I would check it out. It was fine. I finished it. You can hear the narrators real life going on in the background here and there, must have been recorded at home.

Was he eating?

Started off great. 15 minutes in I had to literally turn it off while driving which I never do - but it sounded like he started eating a meal while reading.

I can not express how gross it was to me. But maybe I just have a thing against mouth noises.

If you hate the sounds of chewing or spit slapping around in people's mouths when they speak-just dont get this version. I'm actually mad I spent 66 cents on this. >.<

Intriguing

This book, although short, is very thought provoking. Brian Kelly does well bringing life to Kafka's work.

good story with cheap prpduction

Lots of background noises including breathing, mouth noises and a cat. There's a fifteen word limit on reviews.
